NEW YORK (AP) - A radical Muslim group has warned the creators of "South Park" that they could face violent retribution for depicting the prophet Muhammad in a bear suit during last week's episode.
The website RevolutionMuslim.com has since been taken down, but a cached version shows the message to "South Park" creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone.
The posting showed a gruesome picture of Theo Van Gogh, a Dutch filmmaker who was shot and stabbed to death in an Amsterdam street in 2004 by a fanatic angered by his film about Muslim women. "We have to warn Matt and Trey that what they are doing is stupid and they will probably wind up like Theo Van Gogh for airing this show," Al-Amrikee wrote.
F*** 'em if they can't take a joke.

I haven't seen the episodes yet, but I heard that Comedy Central still refused to let them show any picture of the pedophile founder of Islam. It's funny that they have had Jesus portrayed on the show for years and I hadn't heard of any threats about that.

It got even worse last night. They actually bleeped out any mention of Muhammed.
Islam, it's the religion of peace! :whatever:

NEW YORK (April 22) -- After a radical Islamic group issued a thinly veiled threat against the creators of "South Park," the network aired an episode with references to and depictions of the Prophet Muhammad blocked out.
A note on the show's website said Comedy Central had inserted "numerous additional audio bleeps throughout" the show, adding "we do not have network approval to stream our original version of the show."
The episode was the second half of a storyline that began last week with an episode depicting the Prophet Muhammad in a bear suit.
A day later, a blog post on Revolution Muslim's website warned the satirists that the episode would likely leave them in the same position as Dutch filmmaker Theo Van Gogh, who was shot to death while biking to work in Amsterdam in 2004. Van Gogh had made a short film critical of the treatment of women in Islamic society.

Now if a good ol boy was to send some muslims a threat, he'd be in jail by dark.
-
I would love to read the mail that Matt and Trey get.
-
Give me a break it is a cartoon not like it is a real life thing
-
I watched it last night with the closed captioning on. Yes, they bleeped any mention of Muhammad, but the CC showed the word Muhammad, at least for half of the show.
****ing censorship. :banghead:

And now I see Dr.
Phil Pill is going to do a show about the "poor" Mooslimes being unfairly picked on at school. :bird:

I just heard that Allah has resigned his position in shame of his followers.

So much irony for this/ The whole show was about giving in to fear about the muslim shit.

A Statement from Matt and Trey
In the 14 years we've been doing South Park we have never done a show that we couldn't stand behind. We delivered our version of the show to Comedy Central and they made a determination to alter the episode. It wasn't some meta-joke on our part. Comedy Central added the bleeps. In fact, Kyle's customary final speech was about intimidation and fear. It didn't mention Muhammad at all but it got bleeped too. We'll be back next week with a whole new show about something completely different and we'll see what happens to it.

These Muslims are insecure. They have no faith whatsoever.

Was it coincidence that South Park portrayed Mohammed in a bear suit? How many have heard of pedo bear?
