It's the Stupidity, Stupid

It seems apparent that the old phrase "not enough common sense to come in out of the rain" has had its day - because we as a society used to count on something that apparently no longer exists: common sense.

Common sense was that thing most people relied on when their fellow citizens had been lied to, because we believed that coming in out of the rain didn't require an explanation more complicated than seeking shelter in a downpour.

We relied on common sense eventually kicking-in when anti-vaxxers noticed that it was the unvaccinated that were flooding our hospitals. We relied on common sense taking hold when anti-maskers insisted that their unmasked children be sent back to school - and their schools had to shut down as the virus spread as a result.

Where are we as a nation when common sense is no longer operative - when citizens stand proudly in a rainstorm while insisting that water isn't really wet, but is just another politically-driven hoax meant to make you believe that it is?

When common sense - that thing that tells you not to believe in anything that is not grounded in actual reality - becomes debatable, the Stupid win.

Don't let them. A nation ruled by the opinions of idiots devoid of common sense is a nation lost.

Wake me when NanceGreggs rails against arch-antivaxxer Robert Fitzgerald Kennedy Jr.. Speaking of whom, are there any DU threads quoting from RFK Jr. or his deceptively named "Children's Health Defense"? I can't search in DU directly, and found nothing via DDG or Goog, other than very recent disappointment over RFK Jr.'s opposition to the Covid vaccines. Given DU's history and ideology, I would be mildly surprised if there is not something a bit less recent singing his praises (perhaps wherever anti-Western medicine DU-folk hang out).

When it comes to stupidity, dems know what they're talking about. Witness the Labor Day address.

Nance the Drunkard (well, really anybody from the DUmp to be honest) would be the last person in the world I would go to for advice about common sense.

Translation: my deeply held extremist beliefs should be shared by everyone!  If I turn my back on freedom and ask Daddy Gummint to take over my whole life why that is the same as coming in out of the rain!

I love how the low-iq old bag goes on and on pretending she's not in a completely different country and no one ever calls her out on it.

If we want to talk about stupidity, who has made the Covid vaccines more unpopular, the pig crap from anti-Covid-vaxxers like RFK Jr. and Joseph Mercola or the guilt-tripping, denigration, and coercion of Biden & Krew and their various mouthpieces and parrots?!

A pox o' all their houses!

Democrats and the MSM lied to us for 5+ years about everything involving President Trump.

President Trump created Operation Warp Speed to push for the vaccines. Democrats and the MSM constantly naysayed him and the vaccines.

First they said it couldn't be done that fast, then they said they wouldn't trust the "Trump Vaccines".
