Interesting gift

My B-I-L and his wife recently visited the People's Republic of China, had a wonderful time apart form the pollution that had him wearing an oxygen mask part of the time.  As happens they brought us back some souvenirs.  A jade necklace fo my daughter, a hand carved box for my wife and for me, a vintage copy of the Chairman's Little Red Book !  It had apparently been first issued to a Young Pioneer (Chinese version of Hitler Youth).

Pretty interesting choice for someone as anti commie as me but I really like it !

It really is red and little too.  I downloaded a translation, I understand its pretty hard core and violent once you get past the standard commie crap.

B-I-L and his missus are libs and it was kinda funny listening to them tiptoe around the commie stuff they learned while they were there.
My fellow Americans, there is nothing audacious about hope. Hope is what makes people buy lottery tickets instead of paying the bills. Hope is for the old gals feeding the slots in Atlantic City. It destroys the inner-city kid who quits school because he hopes he'll be a world-famous recording artist.

What's the difference between Sarah Palin and Barack Obama?

One is a well turned-out, good-looking, and let's be honest, pretty sexy piece of eye-candy.

The other kills her own food.
