I just want to thank Rick Perry and all Texas Republicans for the rolling blackouts today.
   
16 degrees here and Texas power companies have been ordered to begin rotating power outages.

He was and California's utility industry WAS heavily regulated for everything EXCEPT producing power.

The rolling blackouts in Texas aren't that bad.  My power has gone out three times this morning for 15 minutes each time.  I guess the DUmmies would rather just have the electric grid fail altogether so they could blame that on Rick Perry, too.

Thank the Churc...er Cult of AlGore and the Obama EPA for not building power plants to keep up with population and the growing needs.

In fact, this rolling blackout will help Perry as he is fighting new CO2 poisonous gas regulations that the Obama Regime EPA is forcing on Texas.

1. Extremely cold weather---due to the Communist Democrat party lies of AGW.
2. No new power plants built---due to the Communist Democrat party lies of AGW.
3. Extremely high energy prices---due to the Communist Democrat party lies of AGW.
4. Rolling black outs---due to the Communist Democrat party lies of AGW.

Looks like Perry is in a real pickle here.

 Actually, its due to EPA standards on air quality that don't allow extra generators to be run.
Has nothing to due with deregulation.

I am in North Texas, lost power between 11:30 and 12:30.  Friends have had on and off 15 minute intervals, in Rowlett, Arlington, Carrollton and Lewisville.  My boss in Grand Prairie has not.  My work did, twice for 30 minutes. 

With the super cold and everyone home, more power is being used than normal, and it doesn't help that venues hosting SuperBowl events are exempt either.

Here in Denton, a few of my friends have had their power go out off and on, but either I've been really lucky, or they rolled the blackout through my neighborhood while I was asleep.

Texas has achieved a 22% reduction in ozone and a 46% reduction in nitrous oxide emissions, compared to only 27% (NOx) for the rest of the country. There are no grandfathered facilities, even though the CAA allows them. 

Al Armendariz, the regional EPA director, won't say the air would be cleaner under his preferred regulations. He does however admit that he doesn't understand the system and it's too hard for him to police.

The EPA never had a problem with Texas' system- until 2010. 

We have 200 of these nearby, enough energy for 54,000 homes. But all of it goes to San Antonio.

Partially. The other half of the equation was the fact that he took a 13 BILLION dollar surplus and spent it on "transmission lines" as a bailout for PG&E. I have yet to figure out if the State has made any money by owning the transmission lines. That was supposed to be the idea.
When asked if he should have returned the surplus to the taxpayers, after all it was our money, he said (paraphrasing) "It's the Governments money now"
