Trey Gowdy on the Memo: Contents Do Not Discredit Mueller’s Investigation

The House Oversight Committee chairman has been one of the top advocates for the memo’s release, having said over the past few days it would be a major source of embarrassment for congressional Democrats objecting to its release. Gowdy seemed particularly eager to inform the country about the allegations that former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe sought a FISA warrant to investigate Trump in connection with Fusion GPS’ controversial dossier.

Now that the memo is out, Gowdy has taken to Twitter to say that even though the memo raises certain questions, the bulk of the intelligence/law enforcement community still has its integrity, and the memo does not discredit Mueller’s investigation:

Hi,

Just thought I would check in to see how this site reacted to the memo. 

Don't set your sights too short.  This should not only stop the Mueller investigation, but it should also lead to some serious criminal charges and many people losing their pension and doing jail time.

When the justice department tries to help a political party rig an election and govern against the will of the majority of the governed a lot of heads should roll so NO ONE ever thinks of trying it again.

We cannot be satisfied with a whitewash on this one. 

Comey is a dirty cop and should be in jail....the list goes on.

I tend to agree. Trump won't stop the investigation by himself -- that would be politically disastrous, and he's not stupid enough to indict himself. He will let the "investigation" - despite the memo's contents - run its course.

The Deep State is relentless and, in concert with the MSM, just won't stop hammering Trump.

I'm amazed that Trump has survived this long, given the sheer emphasis placed on ousting him.

The only way to end the witch hunt is to start bringing the guilty dems to justice. Once all the guilty are outed and what they did is public knowledge the russian investigation will have to stop.
