I've had a nephew who faced pregnancy with his girlfriend. As practicing Catholics, we pleaded with the girl and her parents to let us raise the child. After much thought and prayer, the young lady consented. Emma Grace is now going on 10 years old and is a joy to have in my life.
Her birth mother, upon relinquishing her parental rights, is very active in her daughter's life. I thank God daily for Emma.
