Title: what is
Post by: franksolich on June 10, 2014, 04:56:05 PM
What is the big deal about finding something like this at the end of a message:

Quote
Sent from my Z10 using Tapatalk 2

It's popping up more and more often, as if this "Tapatalk," which I assume is just another cellular telephone, is something special.

<<<wonders if it's possible to have "Sent from my Dimension E521" too.

I think the phones and tapatalk do it automatically. Tapatalk is the software that makes it easier to read and post here using a smart phone.

One of my computers is a Dimension E521, at least it started out that way.

Must I add, "Sent from my cheap WAL-MART special laptop" from now on?

Well, to me it looks like nothing more than free advertising for this Tapatalk thing, and if they can do it, all others should be allowed to do it.

Actually, it just clutters, so best if nobody does it.

You know, of all the units or towers or whatever I've ever owned--which of course is several the past twenty years, since the first one, a wholly black Acer, back in 1994, I think this Dimension E521 has been the most aesthetic, in its black and silver style, and its heft.

It stands nice and wide, like a good computer should.

Mine is silver and white with what looks like built in handles on the front. It's my oldest connected computer and also the slowest.

It's an automatically appended advertisement. Some Apple products do that with Messages and emails; I'm pretty sure my Galaxy Tab does when I use it to send an email.
