That's a shame 'cuz the Flyers will be winning the Stanley Cup this year on the stregnth of Claude Giroux's Conn Smythe trophy winning performance.   :cheersmate:

Barely keeping up with the series' win/loss. Chicago is toast and Dallas was never there. I hate the East Coast teams so I guess I will back the Preds for the time being.

Watching the Rangers and they're not looking that good, and it stinks that the 1st round goes 7 games, it should be 5 like the old days.

THAT was one hell of a nail biter. And frankly, once Chicago got a goal with about 2 minutes left, I almost gave up. But the good guys won in the end. Not without troubles, but they finally did it after 3 years.

I'll admit that Corey Crawford was the best goalie in this series. If he keeps that play up, he's got a hall of fame career ahead of him. I've got nothing but respect for him and Jonathon Toews, but I'm glad they'll be on the golf course tomorrow.

Ice hockey = Chinese fire drill
A lot like Rock Paper Scissors, or flipping coins, or cutting cards.
Check "The Flying Scissors" on Netflix - a funny movie.

And there aren't many things cheesier than whole stadiums or arenas where every single person in the crowd wears the same color shirt, no matter what sport it is.

It's as cool as doing The Wave.

Going to be a Bruins and Lightning Eastern Conference Finals.  Should be a war.  One of the most explosive offenses going up against the best goalie in the NHL.

In the West I'm going to go with Vancouver and San Jose to do battle.

The Canucks got hosed on that suspension. That should've been only a crosschecking major.

Truthfully, I'm glad as a Canucks fan that Rome is gone. The guy is more of a liablity than an asset. He's a decent grinder and can play well when he wants to, but that last part is few and far between. In this case Vigneault will have no choice to dress and play Ballard (a decent 2 way defenseman who can jump in and contribute on offense and lays hip checks like nothing else. Besides, why constantly sit a 4 million dollar player...) or Tanev (another 2 way defensemen rookie; young but promising.)

AV better dress Ballard. .. :p

Yeah the suspension was a bit extreme...at most it was a late hit and Horton was admiring his pass.

How do you figure that was crosschecking? It was a clean check leading with the shoulder. Horton was admiring his pass and didn't have his head up coming up the middle. It was however a pretty late hit which was why it was correctly called an interference major. Because of the lateness of the hit he got popped with the supension for intent to injure!

Yup. Shoulder first. Horton fell very badly. No situational awareness and he didn't brace for it. Fortunately he's out of the hospital and home, but I'll bet he'll be suffering symptoms for a while.

One of the first things you learn in peewees? KEEP YOUR HEAD UP AND NEVER ADMIRE YOUR PASS! My Dad would bench you for the game if he saw one of us doing that....If we didn't have our head taken off by the opposing teams defenseman!  :lmao:
