All might be well. My sister is coming down for the birth and I believe she has a digital camera. I was PISSED when our camera died.

I bet! I would have been too. Not to mention the fact you already have a sweet little toddler you are still trying to document and keep up with. Glad your sis will help out with the pics! they are really such wonderful things to have! Mine are now 11, 9, 5 and I still take waaay too many pics. lol...My oldest actually made a snide remark recently when I took it with me to the park..lol

Well, I found a stopping point on this paper I'm writing so I will wish you all a goodnight. I can barely keep the peepers open. Night folks!

No, my friends, there’s only one really progressive idea. And that is the idea of legally limiting the power of the government. That one genuinely liberal, genuinely progressive idea — the Why in 1776, the How in 1787 — is what needs to be conserved. We need to conserve that fundamentally liberal idea. That is why we are conservatives. --Bill Whittle

Why a bib on a bird?

It looks like a bird version of the Elizabethan collars that they put on dogs and cats after surgery.

It's a bib of sorts, made out of suede leather, because she's an unabashed feather-picker. The "bib" (which is really more like a cape, since it covers both front and back) slows her down, but it doesn't stop her feather-picking.

Some birds are destined to pick. I think she's one, especially since she's been doing it for +5 years now despite anything and everything I've tried.

The black strip around the top of the cape is a strip of velcro, which is additional security against her reaching down and ripping out more feathers. She hates that thing, but doesn't say much about it.  :evillaugh:

From a couple of years ago, up camping with the kidlet:

“The national budget must be balanced. The public debt must be reduced; the arrogance of the authorities must be moderated and controlled. Payments to foreign governments must be reduced, if the nation doesn't want to go bankrupt. People must again learn to work, instead of living on public assistance.”

Vacation was great! I really wish I had another week though. It's so hard to come back after running around non-stop. Hmm...I guess next time I should go sit next to the pool with a book instead of gallavanting all over hell and creation.
