You know, the squawking primitive has this thing about being "entitled" to Beverly Hills or Park Avenue psychiatric services, even though other people have to pay for it.

I really wish the squawking primitive would explain what she's given to humanity and society, what gifts she has bestowed upon the rest of us, what marvelous things she has graced us with, that makes her "entitled" to be supported by the rest of us?

I'd really like to know what makes her so "special."

Properly administered, one will do.

True; but when have you known of any DUmbass that could do something right the first time?

DUMMY FOUND DEAD - APPARENT SUICIDE

DU poster Ladysquawk was found dead in her San Jose hovel of an apparent suicide.  Ms. Ladysquawk was found with seven bullet holes in head, clutching a six shot revolver.  According to San Jose police, she had to reload the pistol to finish herself off.

Given the sheer bulk of the squawking primitive, she'd probably have to.

The squaking primitive is no Twiggy.

Does she actually live in San Jose?  If so, then I laugh at her claims of living in a "conservative county".

Eek.

How big is Tuolumne county?

Did you ever by any chance see a grossly obese mentally-ill woman who thinks she has "potential" for singing in the opera, wandering around there?  Black or dark brown hair, I think.  Dresses like a pig.  She's about the same age as the subway cat, mid-40s.  Maybe by chance you're run into her at a store or something?

Ooops, I meant "pig" in the sense of slovenly and disorderly, not in the sense that the squawking primitive dresses up like a pig.

My grandparents live in Calaveras County, so right by you.  Sorry that you have DUmmies in your beautiful area.  I do have to say that she does live in more conservative area, but I wonder if she has ever considered that if she moved to a less rural area, she would have more psychiatrist options  :thatsright:

Thanks, sir.

Your county is about 300 square miles smaller than the one where I spent my adolesence, in the center of Nebraska, Custer County, population about 12,000.  So I suppose it's a large county, when all is considered.

Cherry County in Nebraska is much larger, at 6,000 square miles, bigger than Connecticut, and very neatly has 1 person per square mile, 6,000 people.

On my Moms side in or around 1931 my Grandpa got a call back to my Grandma in Nebraska and told her to load up all 13 kids (my Mom is #10) and whatever else they could fit and drive out to California, and here they've been.  :-)

Yeah, that happened a lot during the Dust Bowl.

California or Oregon was the usual destination.

Custer County in Nebraska in 1920 had the fourth-largest population out of 93 counties; today it probably doesn't even rank in the top 60, although there are Rhode Island-sized counties with 600, 800 people.

It is hard to understand how all those thousands of hard-working, decent, civilized people were forced to migrate out there, and just a couple of generations later their descendents are, in such large part, socialist, un-American, moonbats. Some impurity in West Coast water, maybe?

I dunno.

There's another mystery here too.

Small underpopulated counties in Nebraska have a disproportionate number of children (born within wedlock, it must be added).

Generally these counties, including the one where I'm at right now, are about 33% children under the age of 18 years.

That's a high percentage, and it kind of makes for a different sort of culture.  I get irritated when going to garage sales and somesuch, because usually most of the offerings are children's things.  Even the book stores and libraries are more than half, maybe as much as two-thirds, children's books.  Movies for children and recreational activities for children strongly predominate.

Which is, all things considered, okay, because we need children, and the more the merrier.

However, in these same counties--and I am describing all counties of the Sandhills of Nebraska--those aged 18-30 and 30-45 are rare, usually 3, 4, 5% of the population.

These of course being people in the prime income-earning group.

Those few aged 18-30 and 30-45 produce all these children, these large families.

And then these kids, upon growing up, leave.  Not because they necessarily want to, but because a farm or ranch doesn't require 40-50 hired hands, like they used to.

Contrary to erroneous public perception, nobody leaves Nebraska because "it's boring" or because "there's nothing to do there."  One goes where the jobs are.

All these emigrating Nebraska kids take their salubrious political wisdom into the big blue cities, but thus far haven't had much of an effect of turning these corrupt old places around.

It's very sad, but our numbers are just too small to have much of an impact.

Californians with mental health issues are so very screwed.

My depression is intractable. I need care that cannot be provided by my county: Vagus nerve stimulation, transcranial magnetic stimulation, deep-brain implants: SOMETHING that can help me deal with this ongoing nightmare. I've had ECT (shock treatments) once and I'd really rather not repeat the experience. Still, I doubt even that option is available to me.

If you look at a political map of California, most of the more rural, farmland areas are still conservative.  It is the Los Angeles area, and the San Francisco area that tilt us to the left.  I suspect that the migration of  hippies to Berkeley and San Francisco during the 60's and 70's has had a lingering effect.

I could talk about "vagus nerve stimulation," because I know a couple of the ways to actually do this, but there's a lot of people here that would be offended.
