Yes, most will work. Make sure your replacement piping is the same kind, PVC vs. CPVC. Also make sure that you use pipe glue and you've fitted the parts BEFORE you glue them together. It is actually a very simple repair, just gaining access to it is the hassle. If your fittings are copper, you may be able to reuse the fittings, but be very carfull removing them, don't crimp or bend them, they split easily. By the way, CPVC is generally bettwer for hot water applications, PVC for cold, but are quite often used interchangeably, especially by do it DIY.
