Darrell Brooks is the career felon who killed five people and injured over 40 by purposely barreling through a barricade and driving through a Christmas parade in Waukesha, Wisconsin on Sunday. Not only does Brooks have the proverbial rap sheet a mile long, but he’s apparently a BLM supporter general hater of white people.

Not the perpetrator for which the left was hoping. Despite the MSM’s accomplished and accustomed lying, Brooks is a tough customer for them to make into a saint. If they can’t do that, they’ll try to make sure he is forgotten as quickly as possible, much like James Hodgkinson, the left-wing activist would-be killer of Steve Scalise and other Republican Congress members.

After all, Brooks is a black mass murderer (I thought they didn’t exist?) and quite the racist, as well. They’re also attacking the messenger:

Of course there’s also the question of why this man was not already in prison for a long, long time. The answer lies in policies put in place by enablers such as leftist DA John Chisholm of Milwaukee (Waukesha is basically a Milwaukee suburb):

So this guy Chisholm is one of the earliest of the “reformers” in this movement. He apparently also knew and accepted that some people would get killed as a result of his policies:

“Is there going to be an individual I divert, or I put into [a] treatment program, who’s going to go out and kill somebody?” he told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel in 2007. “You bet. Guaranteed. It’s guaranteed to happen. It does not invalidate the overall approach.”

Brooks is a thug, and there are way too many - thugs of all skin colors - like him. The root causes of the Waukesha mass killing is not SUVs, or even Brooks himself. The root causes are the thug-culture that engendered him and the DAs who enable thugs like him instead of seeking justice.

There has been a very quiet experiment happening in America since 2016. The experiment was launched by billionaire radical George Soros and includes “reforming” the U.S. justice system.

The “reform” is total — a top-to-bottom revolution that represents both the best and the worst of liberal democracy. Arguing that there is inherent injustice and bias against people of some colors in the legal system, Soros poured money into local prosecutors’ races, radicalizing district attorney offices in Philadelphia, St. Louis, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and several other cities.

The results were astonishing — and predictable. The radical Soros-backed prosecutors nearly ended the bail system, lightened sentences for every crime, and saw incarceration as something evil, not as something necessary for the safety of society.

Today, U.S. cities are bearing the fruit of those efforts in increasing murder rates and other violent crimes. While proponents of criminal justice reform swear that destroying the bail system doesn’t mean that violent criminals would be free to commit other crimes, the evidence points to exactly the opposite effect. Prosecutors and judges can’t be sure that the criminals they are allowing to walk the streets or show leniency toward won’t continue to hurt people. Nor can they be certain that a criminal given a no-bail release will show up in court to be tried and sent to prison.
