Nov. 22 (UPI) -- Families of the victims of the 2018 Parkland, Fla., high school massacre have reached a settlement with the government in their lawsuit filed against the FBI, a court filing showed Monday.

The victims' parents and the federal government have told the U.S. District Court in Miami that they have "reached an agreement to settle all of the claims at issue," according to a joint notice of agreement first obtained by CNN.

The lawsuit was originally filed three years ago by the parents of Carmen Schentrup and Jaime Guttenberg, who died in the shooting, and by the family of Parkland survivor Anthony Borges. It was later consolidated with other claims to include more than a dozen Parkland families.

Another FBI screw up. They knew Nikolas Cruz was up to no good.

Almost every mass shooter has been known to the feds, local police or both.

Never mind, that was a rhetorical question. The taxpayers (that's you and me) will pay. 

Here's another rhetorical question. When are the government suits going to be PERSONALLY and FINANCIALLY accountable for their incompetence?

IMO, the local school district and PD/SD are much more culpable. They knew, form middle school onward, that Cruz was violent and dangerous. Yet they kept him out of juvy and kept mixing him back into ordinary classroom settings. Cruz was an obvious ticking time-bomb, and the local school district and PD/SD kept placing him where rage would build up and he could do maximum harm.
