some of the earlier reports of the incident claimed that there was a passenger shooting a rifle out of the window of the suv as it plowed down people.  Did this ever pan out to be true or was it a fake reporting?

I don't have the link available, but that report turned out to be false. Supposedly, Brooks was involved in a domestic dispute (when hasn't he?) when he started his rampage, but even that wasn't clear.

I say, pending further information, we chalk this up to the actions of a murderous thug. If found guilty, he should be put down like the rabid dog he is -- but Wisconsin, evidently, doesn't have the death penalty. There is nothing salvageable from this monster.

Darrell Brooks, 39, was busted in March 2007 for calling in a bomb threat to the $43-per-night Nugget Casino Resort in Sparks, Nevada.

The would-be rapper was put on probation after being convicted of conspiring to disturb the peace - a gross misdemeanor - and was banned from the Nugget for life.

The circumstances of why he placed the threatening call are unknown.

His rap sheet also includes a conviction for statutory sexual seduction – the term for sex with a minor aged 16 or under in Nevada law – in January 2007 and another of failing to inform the police of a change of address while a registered sex offender.

Darrell Brooks Jr. — who has a decades-long rap sheet — shared a series of disturbing memes and messages on social media, most of which have been deleted since his arrest for Sunday’s deadly carnage.

They included numerous posts attacking cops, comparing them to Ku Klux Klan members and calling them “violent street gangs” — as well as calling for violence toward white people, according to screenshots.

“LEARNED ND TAUGHT BEHAVIOR!!” he wrote on June 9 last year amid the violent upheaval over George Floyd’s murder by a Minnesota cop, according to a screenshot shared by the Daily Mail.

A few weeks after that incident, Brooks used that same car to hit dozens of people, killing six in Waukesha, Wisc.

But Biden thinks that despite six dead people — including an eight-year-old boy — there’s nothing wrong with the policy of ending or reducing cash bail.

On Wednesday morning, the jury found Darrell Brooks guilty of six counts of intentional homicide, 61 counts of reckless endangerment, six counts of hit and run, two counts of bail jumping, and one count of battery in connection to the Waukesha Christmas parade last year, where Brooks drove his SUV through the crowd.

Brooks was found guilty of all charges. A hearing regarding sentencing will begin on Monday.

As Judge Jennifer Dorow read out the counts, a man from the crowd yelled "Burn in hell you piece of sh*t

While waiting for the jury to be brought out, Brooks once again stated that he "does not consent" to be called his legal name, and brought up "subject matter jurisdiction," stating that it has not been addressed.

This animal, who fired his public defenders, argued with the judge, and disrupted the trial enough to get tossed out of the courtroom at least once, deserves the needle.

Stupid is as stupid does. Brooks even argued with the judge. Morons like this guy drag the rest of the human race down at least 3 notches.

Once the first and only appeal is reviewed and the appeals court upholds the verdict and the sentence, on the very next day, Brooks needs to meet his maker.

I see no purpose in keeping this animal alive any longer than absolutely necessary.
