I have noticed where gay marriage is legal, they are in decline in economically and power sense. They are in their sunset.

Well, after the Clinton and IRS obstructions of justices by evidence destruction, the DOJ that won't seriously investigate anything within the sitting Administration, and the back-to-back 'Just making it up' decisions by the Supreme Court, it's safe to say that Rule of Law is officially dead in America.  There is a ruling oligarchy of properly socialized Ivy League social Liberals who quibble a bit from time to time on details about fiscal and monetary issues, and vary from Isolationist to interventionist foreign policies, but any laws that diverge from their socially-liberal world view or interfere with their inside members are meaningless.

Hi5, Sad to say it but this is a really bad sign for America. I don't care personally that gays wanted civil unions under the law so that they could get tax benefits from the government, they have just as much right to lose half their stuff as the rest of us. What I DO have an issue with is the fact that they weren't happy with 'civil unions' even when they were given the same benefits as marriage. Not to mention the FLOODING of the airwaves they have now along with 'Kaitlyn' to try and convince the people who didn't want this in the first place that being gay is okay.

The next thing you know, the pedophiles, polygimists, and DUches that practice beastiality will be lining up and saying 'what about us'? Where does it end? Where do we say this is acceptable for mental deviants to do this? And I use those words purposefully, as all of these things were considered to be mental diseases not so long ago.

We're just about to add one more great nation/civilization to the trash heap of history that was destroyed by free shit and deviant sex.

I'm hard pressed to think of another empire which was destroyed by free shit and deviant sex.

I look at what is happening in Greece right now, and I see what Scipio Africanus meant when he allegedly said 'And some day, Rome...' as he watched Carthage burn. We are spending ourselves into unsustainable debt with the 'bread and circuses' to appease the Low-Information Voters. And things like 'free health care' are going to do us in in the end.

I think the deviancy that Johnny is referring to came mostly from the Roman Emperors. Nero played while Rome burned to the ground allegedly and appointed a horse as one of his ministers... Now why does that sound familiar?

America is going the way of Rome. Too many parallels. On top of it, homosexuality was very pervasive in the Roman Empire, like it is today in the Muslim world.

Nero was emperor from 54-68 AD. The most commonly accepted end date of the Western Roman Empire was in 476, 408 years later (the Eastern Roman Empire existed until the fall of Constantinople in 1204).

408 years.

King Putt ****ed our country more thoroughly than any Roman emperor ever did, in only 7 years. Nero playing the fiddle (which did not exist in Rome in the first century) and appointing horses as ministers was better for the Romans, than King Putt playing Reggie's skin flute and appointing horses' asses as ministers has been for us.

The "bread and circuses" era was in the second century, and was a populist move by the tribune Gracchus to gain favor of the lower classes. Juvenal wrote about it in one of his Satires. It was not a factor in the end of the empire 350 years later.

The Western Roman Empire declined over a period of 100 years, with military over-extension, defeats, and invasions by  Vandals, Visigoths, and Huns; economic losses; and high taxes to pay for military and government administration. The Roman government didn't give away free shit- it took the wealth of its citizens. The sexual preferences and acts of its citizens, politicians, and emperors had nothing to do with the end of the empire.

Spot on analysis, Hi5. Sadly, all these are true.

Very true that the sexual acts did not have anything to do with the end of the empire directly. However, I look at it as a symptom of the decline. Granted, in Rome's case it didn't happen overnight, but it led to people accepting and demanding MORE free shit from the government.  It led to the citizens demanding a more sedentary lifestyle, while they employed non-romans to fill their legions.

There are some striking parallels in Rome and the US today, and it remains to be seen if we are doomed to repeat history, or learn from it.

Big Dog is factually correct (not surprising!) in his rebuttal, but I agree with you, Ray.

Death by 1,000 cuts. Spiritual and moral decline of the populace, borne out in part by the relentless, determined attack on the part of the proglodytes who trumpet how the gay lifestyle is not only acceptable, but attractive.

Shoving that lifestyle down our collective throats (no pun intended) has had a profound effect on the depravity that is now acceptable and even cherished (by some special sickos).

My personal opinion -- all of this shit, to include the left's targeting of the money that is privately held (they want it all) is going to result in the collapse of this once-great nation.
Adams E2 Euphonium, built in 2017

Kanstul 33-T BBb tuba, built 2011
Fender Precision Bass Guitar, built ?

Sadly, I agree with you. It a symptom of the decline of our nation. Hopefully we can fend  the decline off before we go the way of Rome.
