That coffee shop is right down the street from the homeless shelter here in Springfield (Missouri Hotel), which is probably why that was 'their' coffee shop-  it was close to the homeless shelter, and they are lazy primitives. 

My first bet  on why they are leaving is that it has something to do with this:
