You know, I'm curious about something, this "Swarovski" crystal thing.

I've heard of it before, and assume it's legit, but it does seem strange that the only place I've seen it is at trinket-and-gift-shoppes much like the one the lying tits primitive cashiered at.

It's probably an okay brand, but for some reason one never seems to see it in professional jewelry stores or at Nieman-Marcus or Macy's, for example.

Swarovski crystal is an acceptable jewelry making material though as a focal point it's kind of dated. Right now the trend is statement necklaces and reusing old costume jewelry in new ways and in new pieces.

Another damned old lady beader.  Just what the world of jewelry art needs.

Hey, I'm one of those! I've been making jewelry for about 30 years. Artistic stuff. Lots of found objects (nut, bolts, washers, etc.) with rhinestones...I like the juxtaposition of rough/industrial with fancier jewels. I buy vintage costume jewelry by the lot from ebay. But I still do seed beads because I enjoy working with them. I do a lot of mixed media stuff and art journals. My latest thing is artistic handbags (they have beads on them, too) and upcycled aprons. I can't sit still and if I didn't do something like this I'd sit and talk all through the movie my husband is watching. It tends to irritate the crap out of him.

Why do they have to sound so snotty when making breakfast? Always have to use fancy cheese from whole foods to make eggs?

Because snotty is how DUmmies roll. As an evil repuke corporatist, I scramble my eggs with Publix brand American cheese.

I will never understand it. I would say bacon, eggs, and toast. Not, my eggs had arugula, a hint of pot, with a side of road side goat cheese. DUmb assholes.

You can buy "Swarovski crystal" garbage on eBay for $0.99 with free shipping.

Old lady Packer sure has a keen "laser focused" business sense.

I would wear some of them if I received them as a gift, otherwise I wouldn't stop at a booth and buy them.  Oh well, it's good she has a hobby.

Well, Mrs. Alfred Packer herself is no Twiggy.

I dunno about hippyhubby Wild Bill--I've seen photographs of him (posted by Mrs. Alfred Packer herself), but it's a little hard to tell if he's even stocky, much less fat.

But of course, remember that Mrs. Alfred Packer cooks for the whole Packer clan, which is a crowd.

Oh, I'm around.....sometimes.

I don't "hide" my presence here (it's an option for members, and there's good reasons for it, but as for myself, no, I don't bother)--and I've been around most of the day.....off and on.

No "secret life;" just a real life that's been temporarily delayed or detoured, nothing more.

Hardly.  You only have so much dismount time in combat, and only so much room in the bustle rack on the tank for loot souvenirs, so it behooves a true professional to know what's worth grabbing from the wreckage of flattened enemy towns and what is just a waste of time.

I agree with DAT on this.  If we apply DAT's standards to DAT, however . . . I'm sure that he could easily be mistaken for an "old-lady beader."

In the interests of ideological purity at the DUmp, I sure hope Mrs. Packer isn't charging more for her trinkets than they cost her to make.

Yeah I don't hang out on bead boards either, they're all those freaking looney-earthy types...participating in stupid "beading for peace" shows that no one ever sees. Gag!

Someone needs to alert the IRS, so we can all be sure she gets a 1099-MISC sent to her for her 2011 tax return.

We wouldn't want her to forget about paying her fair share.
