Which brings to mind coffee. Never could drink it, but love the smell.
Tuesday morning, my wife was holding The Heiress in the kitchen as I was pouring my wife her cup of coffee. The Heiress leans over and says, "Could I have some coffee?" My wife started laughing right off the bat, and I did after I picked my chin off the ground. I'm thinking, "Where did she get
that?!?" My wife says, "Can you see what daycare would do if we were to give her some coffee before we dropped her off? They'd go nuts!" I get to daycare, and tell the monitor, "Wait 'till you hear
this." The monitor listens to me, than says, "After we do circle time at 9 AM, your daughter will go over to the play kitchen, grab a teacup, put it in the play microwave, punch some buttons, wait a bit, then take it out, and ask me to drink the 'coffee' she made for me." I've done the whole Folgers' coffee bags routine only a handful of times in front of my daughter--it obviously left an impression. (I'm dreading what else she's seen.)
