Title: DUmmies Discuss Fox News - Again
Post by: GOBUCKS on December 28, 2010, 12:22:17 PM
DUmmy pstokely kicks off the DUmp's bazillionth thread lamenting the popularity of Fox News Channel:

What hotels have Faux news on the default channel on the room TV?
Is this a decision by the chain or individual hotel?

1. I work at one. We're supposed to rotate
among MSNBC, CNN, and Fox. But when I come in for my shift and ****Xnews is on I switch it immediately.

This DUmmy has more than a passing interest in the problem. He's done a study:

3. Does a co-worker or a guest turn it to Faux?
Fauxbots turn TVs in public places like waiting rooms and hotel breakfast areas to Faux and nobody ever bothers to change the channel after they leave.

2. I change the station to Fox News where the TV can be publically operated...
And when company gets in the car I turn on Rush Limbaugh.
It's pretty funny, actually.

I'm sure it's the choice of the individual hotel.
I'm sure the only franchise-level decisions are about not showing porn of other vulgar movies/shows.

DUmmy safeinOhio is obviously an experienced traveler:

6. I stayed at a Marriott  near Boston last year. Got the survey a few days later and I gave them 10s on everything. Then under comments I stated that I'd never stay there again as only FOX was on the cable despite MSNBC being on the program list.

Did you ever wonder how a DUmbass loser spends evenings on the road?:

8. Not seen that I do, however, enjoy deleting FAuX from the remote when I stay in a hotel.

Do you suppose DUmmy Wickerman has been at that Marriott near Boston?

DUmmy Kceres, still light on his post count, needs to tack a bouncy onto his post, to lay claim to DUmp bona fides:

13. I noticed that about Marriotts I like staying at Courtyards but the often have Fox in the lobby.
I politely ask that it be changed and they are always nice about flipping to MSNBC. Also, we don't stay at hotels that don't offer MSNBC on their selection list; we check the list before we check-in.

An old DUmp fave shows up. DUmmy Buzz Clik could easily make the Top Ten every year if he posted more:

No wonder her blood pressure was so high. I turned it off immediately and wrote on the board, "NO FOX NEWS!!!"

They asked me why my blood pressure was so high today. I told them that part of the reason was because they have Fox News in their waiting room and what in the world were they thinking running that garbage in an office with heart patients?

I've requested several times that they make another choice than running that garbage every day. They just nod and ignore me... :/

Well, what a hilarious thread.  That bit about checking the TV listings before checking in was so preposterous, I went over to see if anyone called him on it.  They didn't.   Does he know already-reserved rooms can't be cancelled without eating the bill in most places?

Also, I'm not a gadget genius, but how do you delete Fox News off of a hotel remote, or any remote for that matter?  Hotel remotes you really can't F with, it's just up, down, louder, softer, off, on.

The Medical bouncies plaigarized one another, as both cited high blood pressure in an identical way.  F's for both for laziness.  Couldn't they have come up with a migraine, a stroke, a gastric attack?

I wonder if lurking DUmmies ever read this stuff here and go away red-faced.

I don't really want 'em dead either, but if they're so completely self-absorbed as to concern themselves with what the doctor's office has on the TV, then perhaps it's time they either find a new cardiologist, or do everyone a favor and shuffle off that mortal coil once and for all and find themselves some peace.

How do they find out what channels each hotel has?  How much time does this DUmmy have?  Does he call every hotel in town to see if they carry FoxNews  or MSNBC before making a reservation?  If so, what a sad & pathetic life he/she/it must lead.  Oh wait, they're a DUmmy, they're already pathetic.

I just glanced at a couple of websites, and I couldn't find any listing of what TV stations individual hotels carry.  I agree Karin, preposterous.

Things sane people look for in a hotel:

1) Cable

2) High Speed (Wired or preferably wireless)

3) Free breakfast

4) Location, Location, Location

5) In-room fridge

6) Cleanliness

7) Price

8) Member of preferred hotel chain offering points

What insane moonbats look for:

1) THEY BETTER NOT HAVE FOX!

2) THEY BETTER HAVE MSNBC ON ALL CHANNELS!

3) ?

4) (http://josephine-hearn.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/05/p-1600-1200-49009a55-2dc8-4b50-8bf7-356703bae7b8.jpeg)

What a bunch of losers.

Is the TV that important to you?  I couldn't even tell you what was on the TV in most business, because I simply do not care.  If I am going some where that I must wait an hour or two, I take a book with me.  And if you're going on vacation, why do people even want a TV in their room?

When travelling, I look for the motels that have beds and toilets, are close to on-off-ramps, and have a gas station and Denny's or similar next door.  I want to shower, "turn in unserviceable Class I", sleep, eat, gas up and go without driving more than 1/2 mile off the freeway.

For my "staycations" I want an indoor pool big enough that I can choose whether or not to play with the kids, a big TV in the room and wireless internet.  I don't give a rat's butt what's on the cable; I bring my own.

Lefties, fags, and professional* minorities: always judging every moment of every day for its political, sexual, or racial implications, and never enjoying what is because of what it is.

Well, Roger Ailes knows how to take care of bed bugs.

You know, I just remembered that Kafka story, I haven't read it in some years but I do believe Kafka never specified what kind of insect Gregor Samsa turned into.  But I think we can say since he woke up as a bug in a bed, it might well have been he was a giant bed bug.  And what else happened?  Because Gregor Samsa turned into a giant bed bug he no longer had to go to work and lived the rest of his life in his room.  I think there might be some connection here.

DUmmies are bed bugs and they fear Roger Ailes!  Rightly so.

I love how the fact that Fox News exists is enough to drive them even more insane.
I have yet to see one single conservative in a tizzy because MSNBC is on the TV or that the hotel offers that channel. I guess that is because grown ups can handle a different point of view.

I love how the fact that Fox News exists is enough to drive them even more insane.
I have yet to see one single conservative in a tizzy because MSNBC is on the TV or that the hotel offers that channel. I guess that is because grown ups can handle a different point of view.

I actually flip on MSNBC more often than FoxNews, but both are usually just in the background.  I find the MSNBC clowns to be DU-lite, and think they're funny as hell.  Unintentionally funny.

I'm still waiting for a substantiated, documented lie, let alone mountains and mountains of them, 24/7.  They can never produce them.

What hotels have Faux news on the default channel on the room TV?

The default channel, which the majority of the time I believe is Channel 2, is usually nothing more than a screen shot of the different ammenities the hotel has to offer and maybe a rolling list of the various networks and on what channel to find them.  I can't remember the last time I stayed in a hotel where when I turned on the TV and it was something other than the "hotel channel."

I've got this thing that turns off any TV in sight, I keep it on my with my keys so I always have it. If Faux news is on in a public place I use it and thus shut all the TVs off.

It's very effective.
Anything for attention :mental:
