Please kick and recommend. Let's never forget Andy, and the work he did to preserve our democracy and keep our elections free and fair for all Americans.

Voting-rights activist Andy Stephenson was so full of life it seems impossible that he is dead. Surrounded by his life partner, Ted Edmondson, and members of his family, Stephenson passed away on Thursday, July 7, at Seattle's Virginia Mason Medical Center. The Seattle resident was 43.

Why are they talking about Andy Stephenson. With all due respect condolence to his family, but God what a mess it was.

What a pity for the late red round one, who of course is in a time and a place where it doesn't matter to him any more.

wikipedia must have deleted the article about him some time ago.

Now, entries for "Andy Stephenson" lead to articles about.....a prominent vote-fraud activist from the western coast.

12. Wow-- 4 years already- amazing how fast the time has flown by.

Sending love to you Andy- I know you are smiling at us from wherever you are and you know we are beaming right back at you. Ted- not sure if you're still popping in here on occasion- sending a hug to you too (and to Ballot).

Somewhere I have some great photos Andy taken when we were all together in Nashville- what a fantastic conference that was. We had a blast running around Nashville doing touristy things! Plus, so many of us who had become online friends, got to meet each other in person- we had really become quite a powerful community of election reform activists. Geeez has it really been 4 years??

Here's a memory that will be with me forever... I had surgery the same week Andy had his surgery at John's Hopkins. I remember speaking to him just before he went in and a few days later, when I was just back from the recovery room, my cell phone rang in the hospital and it was him. I remember asking him how in the world he was able to be well enough to call me so soon after his surgery. He answered that he was doing ok but that he just wanted to make sure I was ok after mine. I was so shocked- his was the last voice I expected to hear so soon! He really was an inspiration to us all and someone I will never forget.

Anyway, cheers to Andy and to everyone he inspired to never stop working on saving democracy!

I'm working on a project right now, and don't want to go over there until I'm done.

Why is the shrunken head primitive angry with Freepers?  According to the article that was linked to in the OP, they raised $50K and Andy had his surgery at Johns Hopkins.

WmPitt, fister, NSMA, and others were supposed to seek legal regress against his murderers.  Guess that went down in flames almost quicker than Andy did.

You know, sir, even though I (think I) have a flexible mind, I never thought of that angle.

Thank you!

So if one is to take the primitive bonfire at its face value, the money was raised, the late red round one had the operation.

So what's the primitives' bitch here?

It depends on the template they want to use. Freepers killed Andy, greedy corporate hospital, incompetent mail room clerk who lost the check on his desk (luckily Miss Waverly stopped mining for dust bunnies long enough to invade the mail room and find what no one else could), etc. But freepers is the most common one. They need Andy to be this tragic, yet heroic victim struggling to make the world a better place. Well, he was a good scam artist, I'll give him that.

My God, madam, how many templates did they have?

Six or eight or ten?

And they could never got on the same page at the same time.

32. Yes, he was one outstanding DUer and American patriot.

He could have still been with us if this country covered it's citizens with access to timely health care. With the best health care available here for a price, he couldn't get life sustaining surgery in time to save him because he had lost his insurance through a series of events in his life that left him uncovered.

He had plenty of time AND money to get his health care, DUmbass. :banghead:

46. Andy crashed on my couch during the 2004 Republican convention

One night we decided to check out a Young Republicans party at a pool hall a few blocks away. The Young Republicans weren't very young, of course, they looked like bankers as they smoked outside the event, but Andy proceeded to make friends. He started handing out flyers about Voter Verified Paper Ballots and Black Box Voting. He attempted to pursuede the Republicans that this was their issue too, patiently explaining to them the dangers of electronic voting machines. He convinved a few of them, I think. He made friends everywhere he went, even at the RNC. (I remember him whipping out his beloved laptop to demonstrate to a waitress at the Stonewall how easy it was too manipulate votes on Diebold software). I miss him. xxS

Nice spelling, by the way.... :whatever:

Ah yes, the Stephanie primitive, the dental hygienist.

How well I remember the Stephanie primitive.

To this day, she still believes some anonymous guy is on the payroll of the Department of Defense, specifically hired to do in the late red round one.

One supposes the Stephanie primitive bases this on the screen name, that of "anonymousarmy," whose identity the primitives could never figure out.

27. RIP Andy
I had the pleasure of meeting him in Seattle in 2003. He accomplished so much for a life that was so short. May he rest in peace and may his work never be forgotten.

I thought I followed the whole fictional saga pretty closely, but I am unaware of any accomplishment whatsoever by the round red queer. I am also unaware of any work he did. He and Bev whatshername ran that scam to fleece DUmmies who thought they could undo a presidential election, but Bev did most of the con work. She was a clever con artist, but the round red one was never worth his keep, so she dumped him. Not only that, I don't recall any accomplishments he was even alleged to have achieved by the DUmmies. The man was pretty much useless. A cypher, around whom the DUmmies constructed a fairy tale (or should it be, tail?), that allowed them to scam themselves.
