Primitives don't understand something.
When one writes a letter to someone, using black ink on white paper, and spending some money for postage to send it, it has an impact.
e-mails and facsimiles have no such impact.
One hears the primitives protesting, "Oh, but sending an e-mail or a FAX is easier."
Which of course it is, but because it requires little or no effort on the part of the sender, it has little or usually no impact upon the receiver.
Concrete results demand concrete sweat and toil and expense.
