Another stolen election

1980: Ronald Reagan's henchmen made a deal with Iran regarding the American hostages they were holding. They were not to be released until after the election, in which Reagan beat Jimmy Carter. And anyone that doesn't believe that should take note of the fact that Iran released the hostages at the moment that Reagan was being sworn in. Would Jimmy Carter have won if he'd gotten the hostages freed while he was still president? We'll never know. But we do know about the deals that were made. Some people would call that treason. (Don't believe me. Google it.)

2000: Al Gore won the popular vote and from all later accounts (and recounts), he won the Florida vote. But the recount was stopped by the Republican dominated Supreme Court. So, in effect, the Supreme Court appointed George W. Bush to the presidency.

2004: One word: Ohio. This was a stolen election and it was stolen by rigged machines in Ohio. (Not to mention other states where the same was suspected.) I won't go into more detail. Google it and learn how America got screwed again.

2016: Russia, and Comey, the head of the FBI, ****ed with our election just enough to put an unqualified, ignorant, mean-spirited man into the White house. And in less than two months, sane people in this country and on planet Earth are recognizing the extent of this disaster. Turns out that Trump is even stupider and crazier than we thought he was during the campaign.

2017: The GOP is setting us up for the next stolen election. Most of them know that Trump is unhinged, but they're making believe he's not. They want to pass their crazy (evil) agenda that ****s most Americans. And as long as the madman in the Oval Office will sign whatever they pass, they'll stick with him. And they will make believe that they are behind the American people 100%. What's really sickening is how many uninformed people will buy into the bullshit being sold and continue to vote for Republicans who are ****ing them and destroying their lives.

2018: This is a question. Will enough Democrats show up to vote and push the criminal enterprise called the Republican Party out of office? Or, as in all mid-term elections, will Dems stay home and allow the criminals to go full speed ahead? If the past is any guide, the miserable dicks of the GOP will continue to rule us and screw us.

Sorry to sound so negative here, but I live in the real world, not the Fox/Briebart world. And reality tells me that the upcoming midterm elections will be no different than they've been in the past.

We Dems are great at standing up for "Truth, Justice, and the American Way". But most Dems really suck when it comes to turning out for midterm elections. And if each and every one of us don't do so in 2018, we will be ****ed beyond repair for the next few decades. (Assuming Trump doesn't kick off a nuclear war, ... which will be the last one.)

Dems are showing up. They're showing up early. When do those early votes get counted? In some red states they don't seem to be counted particularly carefully if at all. That's the problem, or part of it.

5. Absolutely true in some states

Yes, gerrymandering, extreme ID requirements, and intimidation have kept many Democrats from voting in many places.

However, if each and every Democrat, countrywide, gets to the polls, regardless of their blocking tactics, and votes against these thugs, we will take back the House and Senate.

They are doing everything they can to prevent us from doing so. But there are so many more of us than there are of them. If Democrats had turned out in force at every single mid term election, the Republican Party would be an out-of-power entity with nothing to sell but hatred, bigotry and racism. But for every fool who buys their crap, there are two or three others who recognize them for the shit peddlers they are.

If all Democrats show up at the polls for each and every election, the Republican Party will end up on the trash heap of history.

Dems are showing up. They're showing up early. When do those early votes get counted? In some red states they don't seem to be counted particularly carefully if at all. That's the problem, or part of it.

Solution to problem--end all early voting except absentee voting.  Plus side for democrats--October surprises would have a lot more punch if they could be dropped closer to election day.  No need to sustain the outrage for several weeks.

The Senate Foreign Relations Committee investigated the "October Surprise" Theory in 1992, and found no evidence for it. Similarly, a bipartisan House panel investigated it, and found no evidence to support the theory.

Re the timing of the release, Iran did it at that time as a parting insult to Carter and to bait idiots like Cyanose.

Oh, and I did use W'pedia and Google, though I pretty much knew what I would find (my only surprise was learning that there were 2 Congressional investigations,not just 1).

3 separate newspapers (at least 2 of them liberal rags) recounted the votes.  All three came to the same conclusion. There was no way Al Gore was ever going to get enough votes, no matter how many chads got removed after the fact.  There was never one single count where Al Gore had more votes than W.  Cyrano is full of shit.

You on the Left have no problem whatsoever with lying when it supports your agenda.
Case in point, in summer/ early fall of 2008, a DU thread had the DUmmies talk about how they need to keep parroting the "Bristol Palin= Trig's real mother" story even if it's false (Which, of course, it was) on the grounds that it's perfectly justifiable to deliberately spread a vicious, reputation- destroying lie if it'll keep Sarah Palin from becoming Vice President.
Oh, and lest we forget, "I have never had sexual relations with Monica Lewinsky."

In the debate over who has the most f**ked up concept of justice on the planet, leftists like the DUmmies come in close second (#1 being practitioners of Sharia law). The DUmmies believe that sexual predators, especially child molesters, should be let off with probation and counseling and never set foot inside a prison cell. When an armed robber is shot and killed in self- defense by the owner of a store he was robbing, leftists like the DUmmies weep and mourn over the robber and demand the store owner be convicted of first- degree murder.  They openly cheered on the violence and lawlessness of Occupy Wall Street and Black Lives Matter. They constantly sing the praises of cop- killers. Another thread had them openly mourning/ saluting the Columbine shooters, claiming they were the REAL victims (Not the 12 students and one teacher they killed and God knows how many others they wounded). At the DNC, Hillary had not one but two illegal immigrants come to stage and speak, loudly cheering on those criminals who are spitting on our nation's laws just by being here. The DUmmies and other leftists always look for new ways to support criminals and degenerates over decent citizens.

The American Way?
The DUmmies and other ultra- leftists regularly portray the American Way as evil and racist, and portray all Americans other than themselves as brainless, inbred, Bible- thumping rednecks. They regularly seek to destroy all the principles our nation was founded upon. They spit on our FOunding Fathers, portraying them as a bunch of evil, racist, slaveholding old dead white men whose views don't matter anymore. They view the Constitution as a "Living Document" that can and should be altered.

It is the democrat way. Keep challenging the results and call for as many recounts as needed until enough votes are ginned up to win. It almost worked for Algore in 2000 and it did work for Franken against Norm Coleman.

How many examples can be given from the last 37 or so years of dems being great at standing up for "Truth, Justice, and the American Way"?

That may be too difficult so I'll make it easier. Replace the words "being great" with "making at least a half-assed attempt."
