If the Bornagain Xtians believe in the Rapture.....
...Then why do they care WHO gets elected?

Seems to ME that if they're headed for the Wild Blue Yonder any second, they should be a little more concerned about personally missing the bus, and less worried if there's Universal Health Care, Abortion, or the War. Wouldn't you think?

I mean REALLY. If they are going to LITERALLY be popped out of their clothes and go shooting up like a squeezed watermelon seed, then why should they give two shits WHO the president is?

This just hit me a minute or two ago. Sort of like the Rapture.

Is their any topic that primitives can`t resist proving their ignorance of?

2. Right. And why do they care about ...
amending the Constitution when they can just follow the Bible?

10. Well, actually, the very existence of the Constitution interferes with
their ability to follow the letter of the Bible.

Thank God.

26. No one's "Bashing" Christianity
...I personally think Jesus was a wonderful human being with all sorts of progressive ideas, like helping the poor and treating people as equals, and not judging those who're different than we are.

It's the Fundie followers of Jesus that I'll bash every opportunity I'm given. Because they are the enemy of enlightenment, and America has given them power and validation. They will keep as many people ignorant to science and reality as they can, and I consider that a dierct threat to the way I live.

Believe it or not, I'm completely serious here. I'm not trying to be funny.

If I believed that at any second God was going to take me off to Heaven, I'd be thinking about THAT and not worried what the Heathens down the street were doing.

Seriously.

So...why to they bother with politics at all? Seems all rather silly and pointless viewed through those lenses.
No...silly and pointless is the constant histrionics of an Internet site that spews nothing but bile and hatred towards all that disagree with them, including the majority of their own party.

20. They're trying to impress god with how much they hate the rest of us.
Same with Fundy Islam (not all Islam -- just the extremists).

"Look Father, I hate sinners more than any of your other children!"
Yep Christians have vowed to kill the infidels like islamofacists have.

18. Do you ever think that all this rapture and end-of-the-world
shit that the fundies froth at the mouth over is due to somebody's bad trip? The world would be a better place if John hadn't written down his bad trip and called it prophecy.

28. I grew up among them. Logic is not their strong suit.
You can't expect logic and rationality from people who have been brainwashed.

You'll end up so frustrated you'll be pounding your head against a wall and they'll still be praying that you'll find God while they do everything they can to kill you.

Hope you are proud of your spawn skinner.

First off, the "rapture" is coming but God only knows when... until then, we Christians tend to direct our attention to earthly matters, and that means taking part in elections... as much as that irks you DUmb shits. Why not just say it like that? "I don't want Christians to vote". That's what I got from his dumbassery.

Methinks DUmmie Turdler Burden is talking about having an epiphany?

One has to consider the source (and this is all taken from its own mouth).

The burdened primitive is just shy of 55 years old; originally from Michigan, he spent a couple of years in the military during the early 1970s, and then got a good job in Texas.

He got laid off from that job in 1978, and moved back to Michigan.

The burdened primitive has a screwed-up sense of chronology; for some reason, the burdened primitive blames Ronald Reagan for his having been laid off, and never since having found a similar good job.

For circa 25 years, the burdened primitive worked as a clerk in an automobile-parts store in Michigan; one of those guys running around, clipboard in hand and pencil behind ear.  Nothing wrong with that.

Then the burdened primitive got laid off, after all that "dedicated" service.

It was a rude shock for the burdened primitive, who lived under the impression one is supposed to be guaranteed life-time employment.  And the burdened primitive has a screwed-up sense of place; for some reason, the burdened primitive blames a long-ago Republican governor of Michigan for his having lost that job, rather than the current Democrat governor of Michigan.

Now, being in one's mid-50s and without a job can be a terrifying deal, and one feels for the burdened primitive in that respect.  However, the burdened primitive, rather than doing something about it, spent several months wallowing in self-pity and preaching socialism.

The burdened primitive was broke, but yet managed to pack up the wife into the station-wagon, and take a pleasure-filled vacation in Virginia last year, examining real-estate possibilities there, around the same place where the Mellons, the Kennedys, and Wallis Warfield Simpson used to hang out; in other words, not the cheap part of the Dominion.

Nothing came of that, and the burdened primitive is still mired in Michigan, mired in self-pity.

Geezuz.

Frank, the self-delusion of a DUmbass is astounding.  If only ignorance and self-delusion were tradable commodities the DUchebags would be all for tax cuts for the wealthy.
When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

Why do the DUmmies always make Jesus into some sort of hippie?  :whatever:
Let nothing trouble you,
Let nothing frighten you.
All things are passing;
God never changes.
Patience attains all that it strives for.
He who has God lacks nothing:
God alone suffices.
