I think the democrat hate speech is going a lot to far when they inspire people to shoot republicans. Seems the shoot asked Ron Desanto if there were republicans or democrats practicing then started shooting.
House Majority Whip Steve Scalise and Rep. Roger Williams were shot and multiple congressional aides were also hit by a gunman with a rifle who opened fire at a GOP baseball practice in Virginia Wednesday morning, Fox News confirmed.
The gunman was shot by U.S. Capital Police, apprehended and taken to the hospital, officials said. Sen. Mike Lee told Fox News, however, the gunman was dead.
"Finally the shooter was shot behind home plate as he was circling around to the first base dugout where there were a number of us congressmen and other folks," Rep. Mo Brooks told FMTALK1065. "Our security detail was able to incapacitate him at that point. I don't know if he [shooter] was dead. He was wounded. I don't know how many times he was wounded."
Brooks reportedly used a belt as a tourniquet to stop the bleeding of an aide who was shot in the leg. Two law enforcement officers were also injured, included one who was hit in the leg, Brooks said.

No doubt many on the left have been further radicalized by listening to and reading the MSM whose hatred for anything conservative left the innuendo stage several years ago and they are now coming out and just saying it directly. The left have fragile minds as it is. It doesn't take much to push them over the ledge, and they've been fed a steady stream of it for years, so this is not surprising at all.

Having had discussions with a guy who used the, "Pro-Lifers' rhetoric causes violence," shtick rather promiscuously, I'm reluctant to use that sort of line. That said, one of the posts on the link I just posted had a reminder about a professor's Tweet saying R Congress-Critters who voted to repeal OhBummer!Care should be "lined up and shot". The there's Kathy Griffin and that butchered version of "Julius Caesar". So I think that narrative is an appropriate question to ask - the Hate-Trump rhetoric has been that vile and violent.
The shooter may turn out to be a fruitcake with no coherent political thoughts. Similarly, the shooter may turn out to be a white supremacist who is disappointed that Trump isn't the racist the shooter hoped Trump would be. He might even be John Hinkley. So I'm ready to wait for facts to become known.

Five people including the House Majority Whip Steve Scalise were shot at a GOP baseball practice on Wednesday morning.
Scalise was shot in the hip by the gunman who fired between 50 and 100 rounds from his rifle before being brought down by one of the security agents on scene.
Florida Rep. Ron DeSantis said the shooter asked the group of they were Republican or Democrat before opening fire.
Two members of Scalise’s security detail were also shot and an unnamed congressional staffer was shot in the leg.
The shooting took place at around 6.30am at a practice field in Alexandria, Virginia. The politicians were practicing for a charity match which is due to take place on Thursday at Nationals Park.

This is from the local newspaper where the shooter lived. Contrary to DUers' claims, the shooter was a Democrat.

Some media types spoke with the (happily) deceased shooter's wife. (https://pjmedia.com/video/shooter-james-hodgkinsons-wife-shocked-by-rampage-i-cant-wrap-my-head-around-it/) It sounds like she's either not the brightest bulb in the knife drawer or she saw - but failed to recognize or flat out ignored - more than she admitted. Not that the two are mutually exclusive. All in all, I think she feels a bit responsible for having had some ability to prevent the shooting and failing to do so. If so, the guilt will eat her alive. I hope my guess is wrong.
