Charleston is full of all the clintons except the one that is running for president.
Bill is down the block from where I work right now at a rib place.
My friends and I went to our usual deli/pizza joint for lunch, and sat upstairs at
our usual table. When we came back down, there was Chelsea with her full
retinue, and her own personal crowd of (mostly local) media.
I hear socks the cat was also in the neighborhood, but that is probably just speculation.
I will be glad when the primary is over.

it was pretty smart, now that I think about it for a minute. they had bill up at the rib joint
trying to turn the african american vote, and chelsea was in the college of charleston area,
where the BarackStar also runs very strong. college kids, and all that. they believe all his
stuff; they don't realize that whoever the president is, he/she will find themselves hemmed
in by the permanent bureaucracy and the special interests . . . and that an utter neophyte
like the BarackStar is probably the least suited candidate to deal with it.
washington DC just eats neophytes.

I kind of hope Barack is the one. It will be interesting to see the Republican nominee up against him. God forbid Obama wins....but the ensuing bloodshed would be interesting. He'll be eaten alive.

that was the feeling I had when the dems won control of congress. I felt sure nothing on their agenda would get accomplished since it was a 1 vote majority in the senate, and the republicans still had the white house. I figured watching nancy and henry get slaughtered would be entertaining.
I am not so sanguine about the 08 election.
