The most 'Mad Men' hotel in town
« on: August 23, 2015, 08:48:49 PM »
I'm in Sedalia, Missouri for the State Fair and booked a room at the Best Western down the street.  This place doesn't look like it's been touched in 40 years.

It looks like someone put a lot of effort into building this place.  The woodwork is amazing.

I really dig it.  It makes me want to visit.

How are the rooms? Do any of them face outward, or do all the doors open up into that lobby area?

There are rooms on the inside and outside.  The inside rooms stop somewhere around 126.  Anything above 127 is an outside room.

Despite the décor, the rooms are new and modern (TVs, refrigerators, microwaves).

That stonework reminds me of the "giraffe houses" we have around here.

It's sort of an Ozarks thing.
