OK, I ran across this post which caused me to look at what was in the rafters of the garage. Years ago I brought a couple rods, reel, net, and, creel from my mothers after she passed. They had been my dads and probably date to the 1920 era. They look like bamboo, three piece and look to be about nine feet when put together. One has the place for the reel at the back of the handle and is the lighter of the two, the other has the place for the reel in the middle handle. The reel says Laurentian No. 2, Dry Fly Reel, Lawson Machine Works, Montreal Canada.
I will try and take a few pictures but we have a t-storm moving in at the moment. Any ideas? The smaller one was in a very old cotton sleeve. The other one has a bit of the tip missing. Both are missing eyelets which may or may not be in the rafters....They been there 21 years.
Here comes the thunder ... there go the dogs!
