You guys don't get it, do you?
I can only speak for myself, but I assume that some here would raise a glass to this:
The issue is not whether waterboarding is torture. It IS torture. And I support its use on our enemies 100%, all the time, every time. I support any method of information extraction from enemies captured on the battlefield, period, paragraph, end of story.
Does that clarify things for you lurkers?
Waterboarding, as performed in training given to military personell, is, by nature of that training, WITHIN THE GENEVA CONVENTION. A basic tenet of the GC is that you cannot do unto your prisoners what you would not do unto your own. Our troops live in air conditioned tents, they get A/C tents, our troops get 3 hot meals a day, they get 3 hots a day, our get medical care, they get medical care, ad infinitum.
