A Plastic Bag: Democrat vs. Republican

So I never write personal comments in a new thread, but I am steamed, and it all started with a plastic bag. We live in NJ where we are still sheltering in place. We are seniors in our seventies and my husband has diabetes and heart disease. I dare not venture out, and if I walk around the block I always wear a mask. I cook all our meals and don't order take out. Instead the local supermarket makes regular deliveries. Even then, I dress up in a rain slicker, put on gloves and a mask, sit on my porch, take my groceries out of the plastic bags they come in, use wipes on the groceries and transfer them to a "clean" bag from inside my home. I park the market's plastic bags in a paper bag in the corner of my large open porch, not bring them into the house and put them out on the curb recycling day to be picked up.

Sorry for the long explanation, but that's the set up for my story. My MAGA neighbor who lives directly across the street has been my neighbor since 1988, has never spoken a word to me - ever. Over the years I have given up waving or smiling or saying hello to him because he always seems angry and never reciprocates. I have been silent when his large dog barks incessantly or he decides to run the lawn mower or leaf blower 7am on a Sunday morning. Today. one of my plastic bags escaped from my paper bag and blew onto his front lawn. When I stepped out to check my mail, he stabbed his finger in the air and yelled at me, "You need to throw out those bags -- one landed on my property!" I lost it. I told him after 30 years, this is the first thing you have chosen to say to me?

When I went inside, I was so upset and then I thought this is a classic example of the difference between democrats and republicans. It's harder to be a democrat than a republican. All you have to do if you are a republican is have a chip on your shoulder and be angry and arrogant all the time. A plastic bag is a reason to be surly and disagreeable. It's harder to be a democrat, because democrats are all about we, not me. It's harder to care about recycling or a loved one's or neighbor's exposure to disease. It's easier to just care about yourself, walk around the neighborhood, without a mask, letting your dog crap on your neighbor's lawn and not clean it up and lash out at a neighbor you never even tipped your MAGA hat to in the past because of a plastic bag,

Sorry to vent. When I was a kid and my dad was driving me to the Jersey shore, we'd sit in traffic and watch cars whiz by us on the shoulder. He'd say, "Republicans." Rules aren't meant for them. They feel agrieved and entitled all at the same time. That's all. I feel better now. Please don't flame me for expressing my frustration. I guess 10 weeks of sheltering in place has finally gotten to me.

So, what part of this is believable?  Neighbors for 32 years and have never exchanged a pleasantry? Putting on a make-shift CBRD get-up just to get your groceries off your front porch?  Her Dad ranting about Republicans back in the 50's?  Sounds like she's trying to get a check mark in all the DUmmie boxes.

Going overboard because of the Kung Flu - Check
Recycles - Check
Democrat since she was bouncing on her Daddy's knee - Check
Living amongst the evil Trump supporters - Check

She should have thrown in a reference to her black friends and her support for unions, but she tried.  And DUmmie, if any of this is true, if your neighbor tells you that your trash is blowing into his yard, it's probably because your yard looks like the set of Sanford and Sons.

And I don't even know what this reply is supposed to mean:

11. So I used to go over into the right lane and go the same speed as the people in the lane to

My left and all those republicans would get so mad and honk at me and then when the lane closed, the person I was driving at the same speed as me would let me it.

I have not been on that sort of highway in a long time, but I loved slowing all those jerks down. I have a really old Mercedes and people were always a bit confused. I guess I am lucky that nobody shot me for doing that.

Is she saying she sped up to match people in the passing lane? Or does she mean she jumped into the passing lane and blocked traffic?  Does she know right from left?  Is she a huge asshole or just really stupid?  Or both?

Yeah, that's ate up.  She's seriously confused, I think she has the right and left lanes turned around in her story.

As far as macwriter's neighbor is concerned, I would be the thirty years of silence goes back to her airing radical Left views in some highly obnoxious way at her home with flags, bumperstickers, signs in the window, or some other means, those turds are constitutionally unable to STFU about their idiotic views.

That DUmmie is not taking the proper precautions.  She should envelope her entire self in a large plastic bag, and secure the neck with a rubber band.

And this is how anyone with an IQ over 100 knows the DUmmy is lying. At the heart of every Bouncy is this sentiment driving the given situational lie of the given bouncy. in short they have to believe despite reality that they "are better than everyone else."

Sounds like she left-out the part where the wind constantly blows a bag-full-of-plastic-bags around... being 'on a porch' where artificial whirlwinds swirl.  She's probably responsible for bags ending-up under everybody's shrubs.

I almost wish that I had a neighbor like this living across the street from me--not right next door, but at a safe distance across the street.  It must be kind of entertaining to watch the crazy old bat come out on the porch in her improvised hazmat suit and wash her groceries.
