BRILLIANT move by Harry Reid
Stating that a Bain investor told him that Romney hasn't paid taxes in 10 years.
Romney camp is now in a box.
They can't call Reid a liar, because then they would have to prove it by releasing 10 years worth of returns.
They can't ignore it, because that validates Reid's claim.
This is dirty pool by Reid, but the good kind. And the fact that it comes from a fellow mormon makes it juicier.

In a wide-ranging interview with The Huffington Post from his office on Capitol Hill, Reid saved some of his toughest words for the presumptive Republican presidential nominee. Romney couldn't make it through a Senate confirmation process as a mere Cabinet nominee, the majority leader insisted, owing to the opaqueness of his personal finances.

Yup that is pretty much how I see it. If Harry can't name a name of the investor it becomes a "When did you stop beating your wife" situation. Harry, were you lying to us then or are you lying to us now. Just who is this mystery person (aka anonymous source) and what evidence can you provide to verify that the individual posesses this knowledge. Harry you need to name names, verify the validity of the source. Next you paint ( rightly so IMHO) Happless Harry as a doddering old fool. This will fall like a stone down a well. Romney won't have to lift a finger so to speak.

They ignore the part where the speaker or writer says "Federal Income Tax", and start expounding words to the effect that "*everyone* pays taxes - sales tax, gasoline tax, fees for licenses, property tax (if they own such), and so on..."
Now they are doing just the opposite with their Romney rants: "He paid NO taxes for 10 years." They completely ignore their rants regarding the EITC recipients and their taxes on cigarettes, utilities, phone service, gasoline, clothing, cheetoes, etc. Did not Romney have property tax, sales and gasoline taxes, etc., just as everyone else does?
Why can they not remember their own arguments and use them for everyone?

Just look at this past year alone.
Rumors are spread about Herman Cain having multiple affairs, but as soon as he drops out, all those women coming forward disappear.
Nancy Pelosi claims she has pages and pages of dirt on Newt Gingrich that is actually privileged information from an old congressional investigation.
Now , "Dirty" Harry Reid pulls this shit.
It goes right along with how Obama has won his elections in the past. Twice, sealed divorce records were released on his opponents causing them to drop out.
Mitt is so squeaky clean, personally, that his tax records are their only hope for finding dirt.
I wouldn't put it past Obama releasing Mitt's records from the IRS through some low level sacrificial flunky. However, those records probably don't provide any damaging information or they would have been leaked already.

I'm surprised this wasn't done months ago. If there's some sort of confidentiality law that ordinarily prevents the IRS from just releasing them, Obama could just issue an executive order and overturn that. Why the hell not? I'm also surprised that he hasn't made murder legal for himself. Oh wait, he has. What do you think, DUmmies, about Obama killing all those innocent brown people?
