So nice, Linda!!  Although having bears in my area would freak me out.  I like to pretend we don't have coyotes over here.

These are mountain views from our front and backyard during sunset.

And here is a photo I was so lucky to capture while driving into work one morning.  This was caused by the sunlight hitting a missile trail from a base in New Mexico.  The news reported that people from New Mexico, Arizona, and Nevada was able to witness it.  So beautiful!

You may call me Jessica or Jess.

On the way to home sweet home on a rainy morning in late spring a couple of years ago.

This is actually the "driveway," a private road from the highway two miles north of here.

This is on the eastern slope of the Sandhills, up near the roof of Nebraska, where the soil gradually changes from black dirt to sand.  I wish I could say I own this spread, but I don't.  I'm just a renter.

Florida bears just looking for food....wanders through the yard and on down the road. As far as I can find out there has never been a reported bear attacking a human in Florida.

We are still cautious of them. We watch but keep our distance.

My fishin hole. I can walk here and I have a few row boats in key locations.

Catskills in the spring.

Just down the road.

My chicken coop.

Berta and raising my dinner.

My bride working in the garden. I love that!
"Liberalism is an essentially feminine, submissive world view. Perhaps a better adjective than feminine is infantile. It is the world view of men who do not have the moral toughness, the spiritual strength to stand up and do single combat with life, who cannot adjust to the reality that the world is not a huge, pink-and-blue, padded nursery in which the lions lie down with the lambs and everyone lives happily ever after."
