Trudeau : Intelligence indicates Flight PS752 was shot down by Iran
TORONTO -- Prime Minister Justin Trudeau says Canada has intelligence that indicates that the plane that crashed in Iran Wednesday morning, killing all 176 people aboard, was shot down by an Iranian missile – possibly by accident.
“We have intelligence from multiple sources, including our allies and our own intelligence. The evidence indicates that the plane was shot down by an Iranian surface-to-air missile. This may well have been unintentional,” the prime minister said Thursday afternoon at a news conference.
Ukraine Airlines flight PS752 crashed near Tehran shortly after taking off. Sixty-three of its passengers had Canadian passports, and many others were living in Canada as permanent residents or on visas.

9. I'd say Soleimani bares some of the blame also...
......if Soleimani hadn't spent most of his time causing mayhem in other countries and been the Iranian most responsible for years of attacks on Americans troops and caused the deaths of hundreds of American troops this would not have happened either. So 50/50 Trump Soleimani I'd say.

Are we going to stretch that to believe Iranian AA operators in the field were watch Hannity, translated into Persian, and thought an American B-52 was lifting off from Tehran?
Far more likely is some junior trooper was exhausted after having been up all night on alert. Suddenly he sees a target appear while the vehicle commander is off taking a piss. He can fire right away or wait, but waiting means a plane may attack the capital of his country so he hits the fire button.
Fifteen seconds later the IFF operator says the target's transponder says it is a civilian plane. Before they can say گه the missile hits.

Chris Cuomo had the author of this book on last night. Soucie said none of the wreckage photos he has examined indicates it was shot down.

The very first pictures of the wreckage that I saw had shrapnel impacts circled on the pictures. It was plainly obvious to me that it had been shot down.
