The smartest thing Trump can do is announce he is not going to run for reelection.
And make it totally clear that he will be a one term president. Trump really does not like the job. The constant analysis of everything he says and does. The constant coverage by the press and the criticism. By announcing this as soon as possible, he could save the country from worry and concern about his "next term." It would also settle down the world knowing it will be over sooner than expected. Possibly save the republican party by giving someone else a chance. He could do what he wants to do after this term is over, and he would be respected for deciding he wants to be a "one term president" That decision would help everyone and would be welcomed by everyone. (including Trump's family)

the smartest thing the GOP could do is tell him that he will NOT be their party's nominee. He is not going to be o the ballot in Califotnia if he does not release his taxes- same for a couple of other states.
The GOP is not a government entity. They are a CLUB. They can kick him out and nominate someone else. It is entirely up to them.
The GOP can go down in flames with MF45 or they can be smart. My money( or should I say rubbles) is on flames.
Never forget that the GOP and GOP alone are to blame for this. They can stop it any time.
This primitive must think that Republican primaries are run in the same crooked card/coin flipping, superdelegate way as the phony baloney democrat primaries that stuck them with Cankles over the rightful winner--the old liver spotted sour ass sour puss Red Bastard Bernie.
