to download a youtube to your computer then transfer it somehow to a CD and a DVD? I would like to add some songs to my MP3 player and hubby would like to make a DVD of songs.
Thanks!
Yes, it's possible. I forget how to do it ... maybe someone else will come along and tell you how but I know it's possible. It has to do with 'capturing' the video while it's in the temporary files.

It gave me a headache trying to figure it out, but I forgot I have an account at that evil corporate capitalist pig company known as Walmart :-) and they have MP3 downloads so I was able to buy the songs and I'm listening to them right now!
Thanks!
For future use, youtube downloader. (http://download.cnet.com/YouTube-Downloader/3000-2071_4-10647340.html)
With Audacity, I record the sound that I want, crop it however I want, and then go to 'file' and click 'save as'. I have a folder I save it to. Simple as that.
Thanks everyone for the help, this is what I've done so far, haven't checked out any of the other links yet, but this is what I want to do. I downloaded the link Thundley gave me, downloaded the video, it plays awesome in Real Player, but the problem is this, Windows Media Player is associated with my MP3 Player so I tried to convert it to WMP and I got an error code "C00D10D1", if I download the links everyone else gave me will there be a way to convert it to my WMP Library?
BTW I'm on the main computer in the house and I'm using Google Chrome, I don't have FF on this computer.
The youtube downloader lets you convert it to mp3 after you download a video.
Thanks everyone for your help, it's appreciated! :yahoo:
We're very helpful here on conservativecave.
That is, those of us who know something.
Me, after all these years, I'm still waiting for someone to ask a question on which I'm an expert.
OMG! it worked! :yahoo:
So Thundley, since I converted it to an MP3 file can I now delete the actually video I downloaded from youtube that's playing in Real Player?
frank, if I ever have a question on history and writing you're the 1st person I would ask.
Once you have the mp3, you don't need the video.
I dunno nothing about history or writing or the primitives, though, when compared with my real specialties.
But no one ever has a question about the monetary systems of ancient civilizations, or about 19th-century British parliamentary politics.
BH, the video kind of confused me :lmao:
I have the video on my desktop in Real Player, so how do I record the audio off of it?
RealPlayer is evil and malicious. Switch to VLC.
What is VLC? I'm not a fan of RP either that's why I've been using WMP, and with my MP3 Player WMP is all I can use, I think.
