I have a (hopefully) quick PayPal fundraiser
Hi everyone,

My mom and I were doing better this year until we came across expenses right now we can’t afford. One important one is detailed in the fundraiser description. I always hate asking and will delete this thread as soon as the goal is met. Even if you can’t donate, please keep my mom and me in your thoughts. We definitely still can use them as we have been through a lot of bad times. I am hoping so much I can pay the generosity forward.

Here is the fundraiser:

https://www.paypal.com/pools/c/93JvArVYpy

Thanks so much,

Very first reply is a slam. I wonder if this one will be as fun as the last...

He's moved on from GFM to PayPal? GFM must have a tolerance limit for leeching.

I'm not positive about this, but poo-pants Pam reported him to go-fund. i suspect he may have been banned from there because shortly after, he started the paypal gig

I did not want to ask for help, but my almost 75 year-old widowed mom and I are facing extra expenses we can’t afford and are in trouble as a result. Payment to the trustee in a court case allowing my mom and I to stay in our house came due and we are short. Dismissal of the case would be a very bad thing. I am asking for $100 to give my mom and me peace of mind. I still do not have a steady income and my mom just lives on her Social Security. Thank you very much.

That boy doesn't have a job yet?

He'd better start looking, as the current Democrat administration is tightening up on rules governing using certain "handicaps" for getting approved for disability, especially for those who never paid into the system.

I don’t know what he will do if his mother dies, he will probably keep her in the refrigerator to keep getting her ss checks

He's probably invested her money in a chest freezer just for that eventuality.

Okay, so now he's lowered the amount from $100 down to $50.

He's raised $10 so far, which he got yesterday.

My question being, are there court fees of this stuff as low as $100 or $50?

It seems to me that besides the grocery stores, inflation's hit the courthouses too.

It keeps getting better, Frank.

I am looking into alternatives because they never last long. We can’t afford furniture. Poor mom deserves better, especially at her age.

don't know where Matt is now, that house was going into auction last fall:

Matt's been this BEFORE his father died years ago:

not from the above, but somebody here wanted a pic of Matt so:

It seems that something like this happens on DU far more then say a conservative page. Then again, we all know about the great SCAMDY thing and would think twice before jumping into any donation. It's just the way things are. I don't know how many times the news has a story of a scam being run on someone. The local news the other day had an elderly couple get taken for $100K over one of those scams where someone conned them into buying gold ingots for payment over something.

I think the harsh reality of this beg-a-thon failure is starting to set in.

One more day keeping this up. Important I reach the goal by Monday.

Then I hope I don’t have to do more fundraisers at DU. I want my focus to return to the regular things here.

This is no lie. Since Christmas I have found a way. This time I couldn’t as much as I wanted to.

He got 10 bucks this go-around. And it was most likely his own donation as someone else suggested before.

Wonder what Mattie boi has been blowing all his healing white light on???

You can apply for most jobs online from the comfort of your home. I don't know a single person who ever died or got sick due to a job application allergy.

Never had an official one but now I work at home doing video games for goals and surveys. Doesn’t bring in a lot but it is a fun way to earn money.

How are you? I am ok now. That last donation I got really saved me and mom - I feel mom would have gone to the hospital. I have some plans for this month but even if I get short there will be no DU fundraiser. Would just have to go through it somehow.

I wonder if his "w"fh $$ is done with regular withholding, on a 1099, or is cash-under-the-table. I'm guessing one of the latter two, and if on a 1099, mvd doesn't know how to handle the $$ and will have the IRS on his too-substantial @$$.

Okay, I have this loser all figured out.

His father probably left his widow, the loser's mother, an estate, if not affluent at least reasonable.

The loser is obviously a mama's boy, especially because of his "handicap."

To prove her love and devotion for the poor child, she entrusted dear Matty-boy with taking care of her money.

Matty-boy squandered it all, possibly thousands of dollars, on computer games and toys.

When the money ran out, instead of chastising him, mama assured him it was okay, in the manner of all mamas with mama's boys.

hehe... he claims he can't work because his hearing is bad... and can't figure out why government won't give him disability SSI or whatever it's called.
I swear, these types work more hours trying to avoid work than they would if they just got a damned job.
He's a f#$%$in' deadbeat, and nothing more.
