Hi All,
Well BO is now trying to bully congress into a health care refom bill before they recess. He knows this is his one and only shot at socialized medicine with the express purpose of making medical decisions based on cost effectiveness. Apparently he feels the public is not capable of making those decisions regarding their health care on their own.
This initiative must be stopped in it's tracks. Tom Daschle spelled out in his book that the legislation must go through swiftly "before the public has time to mount opposition".
I wrote both of my senators and made it clear that they would do well to delay, obstruct and not pass any health care bill. If one is a democratic senator, particularly in FL where I live, once the public figures out it is seniors who are going to really get screwed, likely it will be the end of his career. That probably applies to most all democrats because the bill as the administration wants it is going to stink big time and they will have their hands all over it.
Do not buy the fact that BO says you can keep your own doctor. So what! If the government says he can or cannot give you the care you need it is irrelevant. The choices should be left to the individual, not BIG BROTHER.
This is one time I would urge you all to write, call, fax your congressmen and tell them to NOT pass a bill. Once the mid term elections come there may be a tad more checks and balances in congress so this terrible bill does not get passed.
If we are all not screaming, then we are responsible for the results, we cannot be passive on this issue.
