In this New Year of 2008, I pray to God for the safety of our troops, blessing, protection and wisdom for our President and leaders, forgiveness for our country, and a renewed sense of obedience to God's Ten Commandments, (which are basically Love God and Your Neighbor as Yourself,) healing for my sick friends, salvation for my lost friends and enemies, safety and blessing on my children, and some good roles for myself....roles, not rolls.  Oh, and that my husband...oh, that's too personal. (TMI for the Internet.)  And, thank you Lord, for your amazing creation of nature and our bodies and the stars and all the other mysterious wonders you have made.  You are an awesome God.  Your will be done.  In Jesus name, Amen.

It's really quite refreshing to see someone from Hollywood that isn't a moonbat.
"The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism, but under the name of liberalism they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program until one day America will be a socialist nation without ever knowing how it happened."

Maybe that's why she quit SNL, married a cop, and gave up acting.  She had a soul.

Also from her website:

Quote
Well, I'd feel like we didn't really connect if I didn't tell you about what I really feel is important. I am a genuine true blue believer...not in Kaballah...not in Scientology...not in the New Age movement...not in Mormonism...not in Buddism...not in Hinduism...not in Catholicism...not in Protestantism...but in Jesus Christ. I've studied all those other religions...and as a cynic, and a free spirit...I personally decided to put my faith in Jesus. I've read the Bible all the way through....and I believe it is the Truth...the Word of God. Read John 3:l6, Ephesians 2:8,9, Romans 3:23, and Romans 6:23 and tell me what you think. What do you think? Jesus claimed to be "the Lord"...He was either the "Lord", a liar, or a lunatic. Tell me what you think and why. After all, none of us has died and come back to tell....so we all have our faith in something. What is your faith in? I'm eager to listen and discuss.

Yikes!   That won't win her many friends in Hollywhoreweird.

Amen Victoria!   I knew there was a reason I liked her.

Her daughters (and sometimes her when she's in town) go to my church. Remind you of how old she is: Her oldest daughter is my age. :p - -two or so years younger, but... yeah.

I was born in '82, and I know the oldest is like 23 or so.

Yeah! Everyone knows that actors, especially comedy actors, are soulless demons!

Can you at least admit that acting can suck the soul out of you?

Acting is an artistic discipline and not something which can suck souls, whatever that means. Some people just can't handle the fame and fortune which sometimes comes with being an actor.

Name 5 devoutly Christian actors/comediens.

Victoria Jackson, KirK Cameron, Mickey Rooney, Judge Reinhold, and Stephen Baldwin come to my mind right away.

Now, tell me how often you see headlines about entertainers having problems with:

1. substance abuse
2. emotional problems
3. marital problems
4. legal problems

Also, notice how Hollywood/recording industry coddles members of its community with the above problems?

They gave a rapist/fugitive from U.S. justice an Oscar for Best Director!  (Roman Polanski)

Why are you so selectively thick, TNO?

And even before people become famous, some actors become self-centered, soul-less jackasses.

And as someone who has a good handle on that artistic discipline, I've run into these jackasses at auditions, photo shoots and the random community college theater class - -their lack of concern for others and the fact that they spend more time contemplating their navels than taking on real life makes interacting with them as if you're dealing with a soulless beast.

And if you've ever lived in LA, you'd know that.  And I'm not saying that just from a random experience.  Part of my job put me in contact with a LOT of people.  I even have a technical advisor credit--betcha didn't know that!

And yeah--Hollywood is a soul-sucking experience.  It's a shithole to be avoided at all costs.  But some pigs like wallowing in the trough.

You have the ability to determine who has a soul and who does not have a soul? Fascinating.

Yeah, TKay--don't you know that right is reserved only for liberal assclowns?

Not perfectly, but I'm determining you don't have much of a brain. Or you shut it off when you have to process things you don't like.
