crikkett
So I quit driving for the most part. One of the benefits is that I haven't felt road rage in almost three years, and I don't get annoyed by traffic jams anymore.
Once in a while, I do drive, and when something happens where I might be in danger (like I get cut off in traffic) I get an adrenaline rush up my arms. It's nothing huge or terrifying or even disorienting, I can simply feel my body doing what it does to react quickly to danger. Tingles on the forearms, maybe a tightening in my gut. In fact I think I used to be this stressed all the time, so much I couldn't feel it anymore, and it's remarkable how calm my life is today. Just because I quit driving.
Sometimes when I feel like killing someone, I do a little trick to calm myself down. I'll go over to the person's house and ring the doorbell. When the person comes to the door, I'm gone, but you know what I've left on the porch? A jack-'o-lantern with a knife in the side of its head with a note that says "You."
After that, I usually feel a lot better, and no harm done.
