Yao told officials that Prestige BioTech moved assets belonging to a defunct company, Universal Meditech Inc., to the Reedley warehouse from Fresno after UMI went under. Prestige Biotech was a creditor to UMI and identified as its successor, according to court documents.

I've not worked in a medical lab, but I'm pretty sure that the pictures in the article are nothing like an actual active research lab. "California Globe" is a clickbait site.

I've not worked in a medical lab, but I'm pretty sure that the pictures in the article are nothing like an actual active research lab. "California Globe" is a clickbait site.

No amount of chicken-little-ing can transmogrify these remnants of a failed fly-by-night medical testing lab warehoused in a half way to nowhere small town can transmogrify it into a sophisticated secret bio-weapons lab. The owner has a Chinese family name, but so do millions of people born in Taiwan, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, and the US (some of the latter's families have been in the western US since the 1850s!). Was this cluttered semi-abandoned warehouse hyped into what it grossly obviously is not because of Chinese family name = CCP operative stereotyping?

According to court documents, city officials inspected the location at 850 I St. on March 3 for building violations and found various chemicals being stored. On March 16, an inspection by county public health officials allegedly turned up medical devices thought to have been developed on-site, such as Covid and pregnancy tests.

“Certain rooms of the warehouse were found to contain several vessels of liquid and various apparatus,” court documents said. “Fresno County Public Health staff also observed blood, tissue and other bodily fluid samples and serums; and thousands of vials of unlabeled fluids and suspected biological material.”

There were issues with dangerous chemicals being used. The building was in poor condition.

Governor Gavin Newsom has some explaining to do.

Universal Meditech’s ostensible business was to develop tests for diseases, and at one point they were supposedly developing one for COVID-19. The company went out of business when its original lab burned down and Prestige Biotech acquired the equipment as a creditor.

Yet none of that explains why there was a lab up and running with experiment mice and viruses stored in unplugged by still cold freezers, and why nobody associated with the lab can be found in the United States.

No doubt Newsom’s office was simply tossing money around for “economic development” and had no idea of the shady business going on, but then again…they had no idea what shady business was going on, and apparently accidentally helped fund an illegal Chinese biolab.
