Gov. Pritzker issues disaster proclamation to assist migrants bused in from Texas

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker issued an emergency disaster proclamation Wednesday in reaction to the influx of migrants being sent from the southern border.

The proclamation allows the state to provide logistical support as migrants continue to arrive daily, according to the governor's office.

Currently, there have been more than 500 migrants who have arrived in the state with more on the way, according to Pritzker.

Chicago received a fifth round of migrants from the southern border Tuesday afternoon.

Along with the proclamation, Pritzker announced the activation of around 75 members of the Illinois National Guard to help migrants as they arrive.

Texas Governor Greg Abbott has been sending migrants to cities across the US.

"This is all a political game for Governor Abbott and frankly, it's cruel," Pritzker has said.

He needs to be a team player. I thought we were all in this together. I think he’s afraid they’ll get to the buffet line before he does.

Billionaire, eh? His family owns the Hyatt hotel conglomerate.

Uh huh.

Isn't it about time for him to go to prison? That seems to be the regular path for Illinois governors -- corruption, cashing in, bribes, and then prison.

Illinois gets 500 illegals and it's an emergency, but Putzker is just fine with Texas having to absorb 100s of thousands a year? Is Putzker capable of reflective thought?
