I think he thought that no one would come after him there. But narcissistic sociopaths aren't good at seeing the big picture. He was counting on a huge fiery backlash from his supporters so nobody would dare come after him.

He was wrong. The streets are not on fire.

Will everything explode if they arrest him? Probably not. Everyone knows he's a crook.

Just because the streets aren't on fire doesn't mean there won't be backlash. Dems may not realize it because of their bubble, but a lot of people were put off by this raid, including some non-republicans. It's just that their preferred method of expressing their feelings about it is not to burn things down.

Is that the Trump who was hundreds of miles away from MaL when the FBI raided MaL? Is that the Trump who for months had been working at MaL with the bad-faith National Archives people over the disposition of attorney-client- and executive-privileged documents and purely personal memorabilia?

This raid looks about to blow up in Brandon's face in the November election, and will be blowing up in Brandon's face in courts for several years to come.

Pandora's Box doesn't even come close. When Trump is re-elected he needs to REALLY clean house this time, not just this person or that person. Go after ALL and disband the entire FBI. It was created by an executive order, actually I think it was created by a bureau like the IRS or something, and can easily be ended. There is no congressional approval for it nor any constitutional mandates for it. Wipe it out. It's metastasized WAYYYY past the point of usefulness and become a partisan attack force.
