Oh my.

To be honest, I've been waiting for it.

The oblate spheroid desisted from illuminating the primitives for only a day, after she'd promised she wasn't going to any more.

Promises, promises, promises.

Broken, broken, broken.

5. Just came back from it, and have a story to file

900 acres, and mandatory evacuations of Chihuahua valley, a shelter has been opened.

Yup, it is one thirty in the morning, have a few photos to go through and a story to file.

So far no structures have been damaged or lost, and no human casualties. But there are residents there with livestock...

And yes, now to write a story and process photos... can't wait to get the smoke off from me.

franksolich can't wait for the oblate spheroid to keep a promise.

A few of her old threads were drug out and reposted in the meta forum after her "big" announcement in there.
Gnome spanking commenced.

Having worked in a county emergency operation centre during last years flooding I can tell you that anyone calling from the press to get information is going to be told to either not call the EOC and given a number to call or they won't get anything.   The EOC is to busy with the emergency to be yaking it up with stupid bald Dwarfs.

The only significant thing about her post:

She's waiting for her sock puppets to beg for her commentary.

But really, could there be anything less interesting than a brush fire in the Chihuahua Valley?

I'm more interested in knowing what happened to poor stupid Beth and Sarah Imaboobi.

And even that is a low level of interest.

Lyin' scrunt is back in the photo forum, too.
Yaps about how brave she is at some obscure brush fire.

Is it me, or a coincidence that the initial O.S. have dual meaning ?

YAY, got a photo of a night fire!
Last edited Fri Aug 10, 2012, 12:59 PM USA/ET - Edit history (1)

Good nooz, nothing damaged so far... nobody killed so far... you know the drill

Bad nooz... not so sure it will remain that way. It is at 900 acres as of 12:00 AM, yes, we are that crazy to go chase a fire.

And I hope I am not only wrong, but dead wrong. Given what a resident told us, not so sure.

Oh the other good nooz, this is a box canyon, so I hope it remains that way... and does not crest any canyon... if it does not, it will be fine.

Here, from the paper... we were yards from the fire line by the way
This is the funny.

2. Yeah my nomex shirt stinks from the smoke

and I am really wound up, like coming back from a busy EMS shift... I forgot that adrenalin kick.

We got nomex for the flying embers, which also kept us nice and toasty. I was also shooting with no tripod, (Hubby was using it with the D300), so out of 90 photos I got a few that were very usable... not bad. The really GOOD ones went to the editor already. (And one of them is shaky at best, as in literally a tad shaky, but if you reduce enough it could be usable) Hubby also got a few really good ones.
If you'll notice, she doesn't mention that in the GD thread.
Probably figures no one will ridicule her in the photo forum.

Do they make nomex clothes to fit a 4-foot, 250 lb. gnome?

Maybe she meant gnomex.

I think the oblate spheroid is now aware that poor stupid Beth's been absent from Skins's island for some time now.

Poor stupid Beth, as you know, is the champion poster on Skins's island.

But because she's been gone, the oblate spheroid's taking the chance to overtake her, in the post-count.
