the oblate spheroid removes herself from the jury pool

From the hidden "meta forum," no link because most here won't be able to see it anyway.

nadinbrzezinski (107,519 posts)

At this point I have removed myself from the jury pool. I have concluded the system truly does not fully work, so I will no longer participate in it.

I also have concluded that DU has a large list of things that cannot be posted... and that abuse is allowed.

So, there you have it. Will no longer participate in the jury system, and to my fans, alert away... please do. I know you will continue to do such, even on sky is blue comments.

After a certain incident I put myself back on the pool, but not any more.

So given the numbers of subjects that are not kosher... well, I guess I will reduce quite a bit of my activity to the writers forums, the Photography forum, and other sub forums.

Have a good day DU.

OH and from now on, will not even bother with telling people when they go to the ignore list, in any shape or form, but I expect the list to continue to grow, as I will not participate in the alert system either, and will not bother alerting. Mostly, why bother?

Promises, promises.

We all know how well the oblate spheroid keeps her promises.

Drama queen.
There were only two options for gender. At last count there are at least 12, according to libs. By that standard, I'm a male lesbian.

Drama queen.

Yeah, the oblate spheroid makes it sound as if, by her dropping out, the primitives are going to lose something.

Lying again as usual.
We've all learned that nearly every post by the scrunt is a big lie.
The primitives are now figuring this out, as most are already on her "iggy" list.  :rotf:
Gnads the never-was decided to pull her own flush lever.
Then-Chief Justice John Marshall observed, “Between a balanced republic and a democracy, the difference is like that between order and chaos.”

John Adams warned in a letter, “Remember democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. There never was a democracy yet, that did not commit suicide.”

But but what about the crunchy news? How will they ever get by without her dramatic prose and constant arrogance?

Since I don't have a mole (yet), I would love to hear how many primitives beg her to remain in the pool.

Uh huh.

The oblate spheroid's promised before, and then went back on her promise.

Well time to throw up hands on the jury system.
Not only will I remove myself from juries, but will no longer alert on obvious personal attacks and cyber stalking.

As far as I am concerned the system is useless.

From all I've seen, the only primitives responding to this in the meta forum are pals of the oblate spheroid.

They're trying to persuade her to stay, although I have no idea why.

Nope, I didn't see the zapping primitive there--maybe he avoids the meta forum--but if he had been there, the dialogue might've been worth quoting.

But as it is, it's just six or seven primitives, known lackeys of the oblate spheroid, begging her to stay, but not telling us why she should stay.

Nah, no need. She didn't make some outlandish claims of expert-hood, which he tends to pounce on and call her out.
He likes calling the liar a liar, and she has never once been able to show him wrong.

This one kind of puzzles me.

I find this odd.
I've checked in there fairly often, and it is probably the one area where she doesn't get smacked around.
The folks in there seem to accept everyone as equals and are reasonably polite, even to Gnads.
I'll probably continue to visit that area, as some of them actually do have some nice photos.

About the treatment toward a DU member in San Diego: I'm gonna ask DU to Knock it the Hell Off.
We're all different, we're all unique.

A lot of people like to get news out before it breaks in the MSM, and sometimes they get it wrong.

Tonight I'm seeing a lot of dredging up of old posts, mocking, taunting, even new threads started.

I feel that I'm seeing stalking and bullying and I'm really disappointed to see it here, directed toward a DU member.

All about a good and active DU member, active here and active in her community, more active than most of us.

I'm embarrassed, I though we were better than that.

So, please, Knock it the Hell Off.

TIA.

2. Thanks

But it strikes me as this is truly who or what a lot of du'ers really are, bullies and stalkers.

So, the ignore list is just growing by leaps and bounds.

If people can't be adults, they will be given the silent treatment.

DU has never been a safe place, because this shit, and it is shit, is allowed.

For the record, thanks.

13. It is just proof the DU is... well, drifting, more to the Right.

Less empathy, less tolerance, more knee jerk piling-on for some supposed slight or transgression, real or imagined.

The root problem is there are too many DLC and DINO types here. They are currently defining what a Democrat
is. The more Liberal and progressive members are being pushed out.

The "Big Tent" is getting so crowded, that it is being held up by all those inside and not by the support structure that is supposed to define the boundaries of tent.

What a horrible horrible thing, right?

It really is embarrassing, it's beneath junior high school.

Pathetic.

I doubt any "authentic" DUer would be against general civility toward active members in general, but many controversial DUers do know they're controversial, and they generally enjoy it.
