I dunno, sounds like something I would try.  I've done a small bit of the Appalachian trail, and the whole thing is on my bucket list.  I did get to scratch off "Feel the Earth shake" last week.

They're doing so well in Joplin that FEMA is withholding emergency funds from them so that the money can go to the east following Irene.

2 people and all toll they have less than $200 between them. Well, if they shop carefully, one of them can get a fair pair of hiking boots. The other one will have to go barefoot.

They could pack themselves in boxes and ship themselves to Washington, Like when Garfield used to pack Nermal in a box and ship him to Abu Dhabi.. Well, that is until Nermal returned one day as Mohamed Al Shabizi, and beheaded Garfield for his crimes....    :-)

They were just there to collect FEMA money/aid.  Now it's on to the next disaster area to sign up.
