anybody know any trails through the state of Kansas to Colorado?
Through to get to Washington state. Any suggestions?Please Remember we have less that $200. Will take all advice. Happy we are leaving Joplin, there is nothing here for many of us.

This is a small, pathetic campfire, most likely started to generate pity, healing white light, and possibly a bit of cash for the potential hiker. I'm not sure when the DUmmie is planning on commencing the hike, but if they plan on beginning even at the beginning of September, that sounds like a horrendously stupid idea.
The SW corner of Washington state is at minimum 1350 miles away from Joplin, so I have no idea how they came up with their 1,000 mile figure. Assuming they can manage to hike 10 hours a day every day at a brisk pace, they are looking at 75-80 days of travel. That would put them in Wyoming around the beginning of November.
Oh well, I guess somebody has to feed the bears up in that part of the country.
