Rebekah Jones pleads no contest to stalking charge, gets probation

I’ve been writing about Rebekah Jones for more than two years now. In that time her press credibility has gone from resistance hero to embarrassed silence. That may be why there’s not a single news story up about her latest brush with the law.

To be precise, yesterday Jones pleaded no contest to a charge of stalking. That means she didn’t admit guilt and based on the document above adjudication was withheld which means this is not considered a conviction the way a trial would be. Nevertheless, she was found guilty and sentenced to one year of probation, a day in jail (time served) and a batterers intervention program. The backstory here is that Jones was accused of revenge porn back in 2020:

News4Jax obtained Jones’ arrest affidavit, which shows that in June 2019, a victim submitted an online report in reference to “revenge porn.” The victim advised he had an injunction against Jones for the past year, which had expired.

The probable cause affidavit alleges that Jones put up a website with naked pictures of him and sent it to his place of employment. Jones was arrested a month later, and as of Wednesday, the case was still in pretrial status. Records show she was formally charged with stalking.

Bet Rebekah Jones has been lionized on DU for her false accusation that the DeSantis Administration ordered her to falsify Covid data.

Viewers lost trust in CNN due to its left-wing bias and histrionic Covid reporting, according to a 2022 survey commissioned by the network.

Despite collecting bogus awards for “fact-checking,” and “special achievements” for “placing a premium” on investigative reporting, the network failed to maintain the trust of the American people — to the point where its own internal survey exposed its epic shortcomings.

A partial copy of CNN’s survey was cited by Semafor’s Max Tani, who noted that the three highest causes of mistrust were “liberal bias,” the “Chris Cuomo situation,” and the network’s Covid coverage. According to Tani, the report showed respondents “across the ideological spectrum” lambasting CNN’s “dire” and “overly dramatic and sensational” reporting.
