A minor complaint.

After I leave here the "shout box" refresh is still clkicking away until I shut down the browser window.

Any suggestions?  :confused:

It's one for all. I can't disable the auto-refresh without it disabling it for all. Then everyone would have to keep hitting the F5 key. Is it popping up on your screen or something? I'm not understanding the problem.  :confused:

.....then again, I don't know how it looks in Insecure Explorer, so.....  :-)

I minimized it, nice feature but I found it very distracting.

There is a disable refresh button. It works for me. Are you using IE or something else ??

No, it's there for regular members, too. Top left, right under the date/time. It takes one cycle to kick in, though.
