If that's as far as it goes and CO doesn't recognize same-sex marriages, hate to say it, but I don't necessarily have a problem with it.
Gays have been crying the butthurt for years that they don't have the "same legal rights" as married couples. This grants them and at the same time kind of invalidates their argument about "needing to get married" and undermining the family in that manner.
Nothing like giving someone what they want to take the wind out of their sails.
