This is kind of exciting. Right in my backyard.
LAS VEGAS (AP) -- Crews from the San Bernardino County Museum in California are giving local elected officials a glimpse at the tusk of a Colombian mammoth being unearthed at a Las Vegas nature preserve.
So cool.
Conservationists have campaigned for years to make Tule Springs a national park. They say more than 10,000 fossils dating back at least two Ice Ages have been unearthed in the area.
