Hizbut Tahrir Calls For Deployment Of Pakistani Nuclear Weapons; Martyrdom Attacks Against U.S. Soldiers; Resistance Against Cowardly Hindus In Kashmir; Expulsion Of American And British DiplomatsThe Pakistani branch of British Islamist organization Hizbut Tahrir has called for martyrdom attacks by 160 million Pakistanis on U.S. soldiers, deployment of Pakistan’s nuclear weapons and banishment of U.S. soldiers and intelligence officials, according to two press releases on Hizbut Tahrir’s website. A statement issued by Hizbut Tahrir on September 29, 2008 said: ‘‘Deploy nuclear weapons all over Pakistan and warn the crusaders and their allies of a stern response should they persist in their violation of Pakistan’s territorial integrity.... t will bolster the country’s ability to effectively counter regional and international threats. If a small nuclear country like North Korea... can spurn US advances, then Pakistan, a far stronger nuclear power with the seventh largest army in the world, is in a far better position to accomplish much more.’’Hizbut Tahrir asked Pakistan to severe ‘‘completely’’ all diplomatic ties with the U.S. and Britain and expel their diplomatic and non-diplomatic staff from Pakistan. The group also urged Pakistanis to ‘‘extend all forms of cooperation to the Kashmiri Muslims,’’ stating: ‘‘This will keep the Hindu forces pre-occupied and erode India’s involvement in Afghanistan. Remember, the superiority of the Pakistani army in Kargil [War in Kashmir] was attained with the assistance of your Kashmiri brothers. The memory of which still haunts the cowardly Hindus.’’Another press statement issued by Hizbut Tahrir’s office in Pakistan on September 14, 2008 called for martyrdom attacks against U.S. troops, stating: ‘‘If we have to save Pakistan, we will have to get rid of [President Asif] Zardari, [Prime Minister Yousuf Raza] Geelani and [Army Chief General Ashfaq] Kiyani troika and re-establish the system of Khilafat-e-Rashida [Rule of Islamic caliphs]. We need such a ruler and an army chief that [will] implement Islam and raise the craving for martyrdom in 160 million people and to teach a lesson to the coward Americans who are hiding from ill-armed Mujahideen in Iraq and Afghanistan.’’The statement added: ‘‘Pakistan, possessing nuclear weapons, missiles technology and half a million brave soldiers who are ready to attain martyrdom for Islam, is in a good position to injure and bruise an already battered America to an extent which she cannot afford to stomach right now.’’Source: http://www.hizb.org.uk/, UK, accessed October 1, 2008
